My spaghetti wasn't drained so basically I had spaghetti in sauce water. $15.00 for that. Tasted terrible. I was so... disappointed. Service slow. Never stop there again. Nice atmosphere at least. Read more
I placed a carry-out order on 10/16/22 at Giuseppe's in Frostburg for 2 lasagna dinners, and as soon as I got home, my husband... and I opened our containers and both lasagnas had a very pungent odor. Both lasagna dinners tasted even worse and could not beeaten. I immediately called Giuseppe's and told them that something was wrong with the lasagna that I had just picked upbecause it smelled and tasted bad. He told me that they make lasagna all the time, and that this lasagna was made yesterday. Iasked him to taste the lasagna, but he wouldn't do so to verify that it was bad. I then asked for my money back for the lasagnaportion of the dinners, but he refused and only offered to replace the food because he didn't want to be out any money. Ipointed out to him that we were out $37.00 as the dinners could not be eaten and had to be thrown in the garbage. At thispoint, we didn't want any other food and didn't feel like driving back to the restaurant. I asked if he could just issue arestaurant credit for next time we come, but again, he refused and said he would only replace the food. We have been customersof Giuseppe's for years, but the customer service that we experienced on this evening cannot be overlooked, and we will neverreturn. Read more
The food is always fantastic. I had the pasta with mussels. The mussels were cooked to perfection. I had the humus appetizer... which is probably the best I have ever had. Good beer selection, excellent service. It never disappoints and I try to go herewhen I am in the area. Read more
We hired Mark to cater our daughter's wedding. He did an amazing job! We decided to go with him after eating at his restaurant... and with recommendations from friends. Mark (the owner) is a chef. We were very concerned about price because of the size ofthe guest list (250+). He asked us our budget and he worked within it and stuck with it. This past year (2022) inflation andfood prices sky rocketed so I was nervous but he stayed at the price that he quoted in fall 2021. He works within your budget. He is old school. Not big on text, internet, etc. but he is a man of his word and handshake. Our guests had compliment aftercompliment for his food and people are still talking about how great it was. We wanted self serve and not plated. Because itwas a big wedding he suggested stations. He said it got people to the food faster. He set up 4 stations of our choosing (withhis help). The stations were American , Italian, Mediterranean, and Farm Fresh . They provided something for everyone, meat,meatless, gluten free, nut free, etc. you name it he had it covered. He also provided an appetizer table and beverage service,he set up, cleaned up, and his service was exceptional. You never really noticed him or his help but the stations wereconstantly refreshed and finished place settings were discarded. It was perfect! The first time I went to Giuseppe?s on Bowery in Frostburg MD I sat at the bar and got flatbread and it was fantastic. The next... time I came I ordered a sandwich which was a special -and they served it without the cheese that came on it- which is kind ofwhat made the sandwich. When I asked about it -they said they were out of the cheese. Why would you not tell me that when Iordered it? The third time I went I ordered shrimp scampi and the seafood tasted old. They took it back and got me some thingelse which I don?t even remember.. but it was alright. Yet another time I went and got their pizza and it was out of thisworld. I feel like they have great potential if they can keep their consistency up, and pay attention to small things like Imentioned before. The restaurant itself is really nice and has a fantastic atmosphere. Overall- I think it?s a tad pricey forwhat it is. The cocktail I got was really good. Staff is great, pacing of dinner is great as well. If your looking for a nice laid back dinner without being rushed through your... meal you can't go wrong. Menu isn't very large but everything I've ordered has been cooked well. The pizza is the dark horse ofthis place. It's easily top 3 in the area. Read more
Very clean and comfortable atmosphere. Great food also. Will definitely be back for another special occasion.
