An amazing dinner at the Oxford House Inn on Saturday night. The view was absolutely stunning and the food... Wow! The roasted... onion & parsnip soup was so ridiculously delicious. And the vegan chicken and mash -- I'm going to have to return just to havethat dish. I'm allergic to meat (weird but true) and often feel like the vegetarian option is an afterthought. The vegetarianand vegan offerings aren't huge in number but taste is 100%. Absolutely a great place for vegetarians to enjoy. Read more
Wonderful porch to dine on. Great host and waitstaff. We had mussels, seared ahi tuna and scallops. The preparation was superb.... And so to were the cocktails. Read more
Had reservations for 14 people. Seated quickly, servers were very attentive, food was amazing and nice atmosphere. Our group had... a great experience. Parking can be a little tight during the dinner rush but there are spots you just might have to walk a fewfeet. Definitely stop in and give this place a try. I was BEYOND excited to visit a restaurant with a menu full of delicious sounding vegan options. But we were disappointed when... we were told over the phone that one member of our party would not be able to join us for dinner due to the restaurant’s lackof a wheelchair accessible entrance. Reluctantly, we chose to dine elsewhere. I hope the Oxford House Inn & Restaurant canremedy this situation so that we might be welcome to enjoy this dining experience in the future. Read more
Higher end dining. Steak frites was good. Desserts were yummy. Old house on the main drag. Reservations recommended.
We generally go to Oxford house once or twice a year. All of our past visits been amazing and we have always considered this a... special place. Unfortunately our trip here yesterday was not up to the past standards. Our meals were just okay. And ourwaitress seemed to forget that we were there. My husband had rainbow trout which lacked flavor. I had the pork dish and it wasokay but not amazing. Bartender in the basement was really awesome and she makes great drinks. The octopus appetizer was reallysuperb but quite pricey for the amount of octopus you actually get. The grounds are still beautiful and that in itself mightkeep us coming back. Read more
