I must say the place is so romantic. But any ambition to merge the ambiance with the food is an epic fail. We had great... expectations since it was my first time. And I heard it was a good place to celebrate. Never order their Lobster bisque. I havenever tasted a lobster bisque as horrible as this one. It tasted burnt and just like eating squash soup. And there was not asingle hint of lobster in it. I ordered the John Dori I think (forgot the name). Well I can cook fish better than this one. Even the prime rib was not up to par. I'm sorry to say that not a single entree that we ordered was worth the money. It is sadsince our celebrant was disappointed of the food. You are better off at the food court without the ambiance but much more ediblefood. Oh we enjoyed the complrmentary.strawberry cake with ice cream for which to blow out her candle. Read more
I attended this restaurant for a wedding a reception. I'm certain the food is slightly different in the restaurant itself.... However, all of the food was excellent. Portions were a little small, but for a banquet, that made sense. Since I did not pay, Icannot comment on price, but I would go back to this restaurant again. Also, not pictured is their creamed corn. I guess they'reknown for it It was good...for creamed corn. Read more
This is our “special occasion” place. But tonight was a splurge. As usually we had stellar service, this time from Najhia.... She was as awesome as the meals! We had John Dory, prime rib and rib eye. OMG amazing!! I recommend the lavender lemon drop,wedge and french onion soup! Can’t say enough to explain how wonderful this restaurant is! Read more

Came here for the first time to get their restaurant week deal. I think the service is really good overall. Just wanted to state... that because looking at the price, at first glance, I thought it's one of those restaurants with butler level mannered servers?(I'm not sure how else to really describe this) but don't expect fancy tier service with all servers having the perfectmannerisms although they are pretty high up there. NOW onto the food! The bread is good, fresh and toasty. I didnt noticeanything special about the butter. The escargo flavor was really good! But the escargo itself was rather dry. The lobsterbisque was smooth and creamy, but didn't taste much lobster flavor nor actual lobster. The the filet mignon was also kinda dry.I know some people who would love the way this was cooked. But it is not for me. The sauce helped moisten the dryness but thatitself didn't have much flavor either. Probably to avoid overpowering the taste of the meat. I can't comment on the rib as itwas not mine. I LOVED the creamed corn. Wish I had more of this side. Now for desserts, out of all 3, my favorite was thechocolate torte. Would get that again in a heartbeat. Due to location, overall service, pricing, ambience and food, I'd saythis place would be good for a fancy date night or to celebrate a special occasion. Read more
Summit house is a good place for date night. I think a wedding would be beautiful there on a lovely day! We’ve eaten there a... few times… and it’s good, but nothing really stands out in our memory about it, other than not being disappointed. Eatingoutside was nice, but it was before it got dark… I imagine eating outside when it’s dark would be an amazing view! Maybe gotfor drinks, and appetizer, and the view. Great Holiday decorations at Summit House. Sweet corn is very good. Our bread is under proofing. The scallop is amazing, though... I think the bacon is too salty. (Some may like it). The main course Prime Rib is okay to good. No The best I ever had. However,you should go there at least for the Christmas decorations and the Christmas Carols. Read more
6 of us had another fabulous meal. Great service and elegant atmosphere. A nice view of Orange County lights after sundown.... Enjoyable piano music at the bar too. See my photos!
