This place used to be great a long time ago, so I brought my parents over an hour away to visit and purchase meat from the... butcher shop. We were hungry, so we ordered sandwiches, and the bill seemed a little high. I went to the counter and questionedthe bill and was met with hostility from a young dark haired male with glasses claiming to be one of the managers. It wasdiscovered that my elderly parent was over charged, and instead of apologizing, the young boy became confrontational with me dueto my complaint. He then said loudly that he didn't want to help me, left the counter, and proceeded to visibly bad mouth me toevery other employee in the store, and in a tone where other customers could here. Even with the inconvenience of theovercharge and embarrassment of having to even deal with this situation, the Hispanic lady/cashier who claimed to be a managerrefused to refund or replace the disgusting chopped (ground) beef sandwich that my mom could not even eat. See the picturebelow. The beans were bland disgusting as well. A restaurant interested in customer service and retaining customers in thiseconomy would go above and beyond to apologize and refund or at least replace the sandwich, but she refused to do either, instead offering to throw a little bit of sliced brisket on the already disgusting sandwich. What qualified manager or decentestablishment would treat a customer, especially an elderly customer in that manner? This place is clearly not geared towardsproviding good service to every customer, so think before you go to this establishment. The sad part about it is that we leftwithout getting the butcher meat that we actually came for due to the treatment received in the hot deli. We wasted three hoursof our travel time and gas. This will be the last time we visit this establishment. Read more

Good BBQ, but just why spend money when they make you feel unwelcome. The staff here have always been hit or miss since I... started coming in 2007, and with new ownership, and the staff are friendlier when Jim is there slicing meat. But when he is notup front or not there, the staff here are icy cold. I walk in and seem to get icy cold death stares from 2 women staff, like Iinterrupted their afternoon. You are not made to feel welcome, compared to other BBQ spots in Katy and Richmond, who welcome youinside and make you feel like you are not a burden on them. I felt in no way that I was a paying customer and guest visitingtheir business. Just look at the reviews below, I'm the third customer within the last month complaining about rude staff, clearly this is ongoing. Read more

One of the best Q joints I have ever experienced. Staff was very friendly. Prices were fair and porting size was more than... enough. Food was great! Brisket was jucy with just the right amount of smoke and bark. The hamburger was done perfectly.Definitely a two handed burger Read more

Stopped by to get some snacks for the car and a quick lunch for my son. Baked potato with turkey was really good. Only took a... star off because the grocery half of the store was lacking selection. A lot of empty shelves and coolers. Read more

When I arrived in Houston, I couldn?t stop thinking about BBQ, it is just a necessity when you?re in Texas! I just had a bit of... a hard time choosing where to eat since there are really a lot of BBQ restaurants around the area. I heard about Dozier?s so Isearched it on the web and got really curious. Everything was so good in Dozier?s! The brisket, the ribs, the side dishes, everything! The fall-off-the-bone meat melts in my mouth which is oddly satisfying and mouthwatering. Their brisket also has awide range of options like brisket on a biscuit, brisket hash, chicken fried brisket, and more! I couldn?t try everythingbecause there?s a lot. Well, at least, I still have reasons to go back. Haha! Read more

Visited for their new brunch experience. Between us we had Brisket on a Biscuit, Chicken Fried Brisket and Pancakes, Brisket... Hash, and The Burger. To drink we had tea, Cranberry Mimosa, and a Michelada. . We ordered at the counter and sat in a booth. The tea was from a fountain, but we had to wait 5 minutes for the cocktails. The food was served as it was ready. . The crust onthe chicken fried brisket was fantastic. The burger was huge and delicious. . The only complaint was that the ranchero sauce onthe hash was far too spicy for the guest. The biscuit could have used more gravy. The taste was there, however. . It was a goodexperience. The place is spacious inside with tasty food. Read more

I had heard about this place and I'm glad that I was able to go out to Fulshear and give it a try. It was some pretty solid... barbecue, and the loaded baked potato salad was delicious. If in the area, definitely give it a go. I had a half pound ofbrisket, two ribs, and an individual side which ended up costing about $25. I probably could have done with a little bit lessfood. My bad I guess for not knowing how much to order, but that's why I prefer places that just offer a "plate" style ratherthan selling by weight. It would also be nice if they offered fountain drinks be it soda or water rather than cans/bottledbeverages. The place is pretty neat. It's both a barbecue joint and a general store. But I don't know how much shopping happenshere by non tourists. There is also some cool history on the walls. The recently added outdoor space with a cool "Fulshear" textmural is nice, but it was way too hot to spend any time out there. Read more

We had a great experience at Dozier's. We had the moist brisket, pork ribs, sausage, sides of Texas caviar, and potato salad,... and they were all excellent. The moist brisket was exquisite with a smoky flavor and seasoning. The ribs fall off the bones asone would expect, and the sausage was terrific. The staff were amicable and told us how to order as we go down the food line -cold items first, then the hot items. We will go back there to eat again. Love this place! Read more
