Food was great! Service was horrible. We sat at our table 20 minutes before getting waited on. Only three of us. Waitress was... nice, forgot everything I mean everything we asked for. I didn't even get my water refilled. Not attentive to guests. She talkedto another waitress while at our table taking our order. It could have waited. Food was great! Pie was awesome! First time diners,did not enjoy our experience. We ended up waiting 35 minutes for our food. No one bothered to check on us for... the first 30 minutes,as our waitress was to preoccupied with chatting with friends. Our waitress claimed they were behindbecause of two large parties,which only consisted of 8 people in each party. The cooked food arrived half cold , and my wife'schicken salad was all bread. Took a long time to get our food, my wife said her Chicken Italiano was pretty good, my hot beef sandwich was disappointing. The... bread was dried out (the gravy saved a lot of it) and the potatoes were instant, not real. A bit chintzy with the beef, too.Prices were reasonable but certainly not worth it, being mediocre at best. Drove clear from Long Grove, won't be back for a longwhile. Read more

We went to the windmill for a tour and they recommended this place to eat. The food was great. I had the French dip sandwich and... a strawberry smoothie. Susan Bentley was our server and she was great. Took time to talk even though the place was busy. I willgo back and I highly recommend this place. Read more
