I went there with a friend who likes sushi but I don't like sushi. I read they had other items on the menu that weren't sushi,... which they did have. My friend said that the sushi was pretty good but I was disappointed with the cooked food. The shrimptempura seemed to have a doughy substance between the shrimp and the outside crispy tempura. I had the hibachi shrimp and beefwith vegetables. The beef was tough and overcooked. The entire dish tasted like it was cooked in a pot that had burned foodresidue in it. Maybe it's a Japanese efficiency thing but I found there continuous prodding to clean the dishes off the table tobe rather annoying. Beautiful presentation and so fresh tasting! Obsessed with our vegetable roll. As vegetarians we don?t often go out to get sushi... but we decided to try out the sample with the Gongcha promo. By far some of the most freshest and authentic sushi around. I was stationed in Japan for a little while and this place ranks... as close to Japanese sushi as you can get. Had a wonderful birthday lunch here yesterday. Chef Dave really outdid himself by making a 3-tier sushi birthday cake for us!... Sashimi and nigiri are always fresh here and the rolls are imaginative, aesthetically pleasing and delicious!! The servers hereare so friendly and efficient. One of the best sushi restaurants around!
