Pretty decent Mexican hangout bar. Decent enough margaritas, and lots of your favorites, with some fun twists on other things.... FYI they have tons of vegetarian and vegan options. One of things we had were some Vegan Fried Mac and Cheese Balls. They wereincredible. One of the best vegan things I?ve ever had. we also had a guacamole that was a mix it yourself thing, which was kindof silly. Good outside space for eating. All in all worth your time if you?re downtown. Read more

A great outdoor (and indoor) visit. The jalapeño margarita was well done as well. We all enjoyed our food. The house made... hot sauce we tried was flavorful and not just high heat foe the sake of heat. Read more

Love the food here. Drinks are good too. Surprisingly fast service as well. Our only complaints are minor. Music was too loud as... we couldn't hear each other at the outside table. Our server struggled to hear us ordering. We asked for them to turn it downslightly and the server said they were not allowed, so it sounds like a management issue on that end. Due to the difficulty inhearing, our order had mistakes. Simple thing for management to fix. Read more

Visiting Gainesville for a film shoot and was told aboit Boca Fiesta. A few locals agreed it was a solid place and so I made it... a point to go. Got there around 8? Didnt seem too busy but it was also raining. Had a good energy. Decided to sit at the bar.Ordered a beer and queso to start. Queso was good and came in a nice sized mini cauldron. Beer was in a mason jar and given theday I had, may have tasted extra nice. Before ordering I saw they had gator and knew I wanted it but also acknowledged that itwas taco Tuesday. Their deal was out of a selection, 2 for $5. Pretty good deal. Choose between hard, soft and traditional.Ended up getting a hard gator, soft chicken and traditional pork. Food came out in a timely fashion. The gator was certainly myfavorite of the three. Perfectly fried and the chipotle sauce with it was nice. The pork is shredded but didnt quite taste likecarnitas. It seemed closer to a stew pork if that makes sense. It was good. The chicken kinda of fell flat for me, nothinspecial. I also didnt like the plain bed of lettuce in my gator taco as well as on the plate for said taco. It just, didnt doanything. Not enough sauce to coat and too much to pack into my taste hole. All in all, its a solid spot with solid prices butI wasnt blown away. Check it out, sit at the bar and have a taco/beer. The bartender, Lindley, was great! Read more

Boca Fiesta has the best salsa I've had in Gainesville. Period. You know when a Mexican restaurant is good based on the quality... of their salsa, and Boca Fiesta doesn't disappoint. The chimichanga was served with amazing portions and no overbearing side ofrefried beans as many other establishments continue to do. While a bit pricey, you are paying for the high quality service andingredients that come with the atmosphere and visit. I recommend sitting inside if they're doing karaoke night, though, unlessyou're interested in amateur singing ???? Read more

Boca has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Gainesville. Always fun to come with friends. Maybe not the most... authentic Mexican food, but it still tastes good. I love their tempeh - I don?t know how they get it to taste so good. This mostrecent time we just got apps and got the DIY guacamole (which I wish came with red onion and diced tomatoes) and fried gatorbites (awesome). I used to always get the tempeh taco salad. The margaritas are fantastic. The little bar in the back, Backyard,is also a good time especially if you happen to be there for thursday trivia. It?s just such a nice vibe here and will alwayshold a special spot in my heart! Read more
