Was able to get a table right away on a Friday night. Great food and drink specials. Amazing staff- knowledge on all items and... and answered any questions we had! In particular LESLIE our waitress and RUFUS who was the manager on duty deserve extra propsfor their down to earth, friendly attitude which I feel needs to be noted. They deserved the tip we personally left and shouldbe commended further but the restaurant. Go and TIP BIG! Read more
I've never been a huge fan of Gators Dockside. Their food isn't bad, but in my experience it's nothing special. The food is... pretty generic American cuisine that you can generally get better versions of elsewhere, and the atmosphere is plain vanillasports bar without much individuality. My most recent experience was a bit better. I was there for a work function, so we werein a side room feasting on loads of wings. I've had the wings in the past and they were always a bit overcooked and dry, butthese were fairly good. Still not spectacular, but better than in the past. Fantastic place. Love the two for one drink specials and the wings. Riley is an attentive and helpful waiter who helped this... Aussie navigate an American menu. Huge spice head myself, but if you don't like the heat, try the Thai peanut wings. Gator tailis great too. Read more
I thought that this place was cool. The atmosphere was very upbeat. When I came in here last year, I ordered the gator bites.... They were fried and served with this orange creamy sause. They were quite good. For those that have never had alagator before,the texture is, I'd say, between chicken and fish. They don't have a whole lot of flavor, but they are good. They don't havehave a swampy, fishy taste either, which was my initial concern. I ordered my gator bites with chicken bites as well, whichwere great. Nice and crunchy. Came for dinner the evening before the Auburn vs. UF Basketball game with some friends! Staff was so friendly and the food was... great!! Met Leslie (a fellow Auburn fan!!) and discovered that she worked at the Steak 'n' Shake in Auburn back in 2013 when wewere all in college!! Parking was plentiful and the restaurant opened at 11:00 a.m. We were greeted and seated quickly. Isabel was our server; she was... very nice, pleasant and efficient. Covid protocols were in place. We ordered the cheeseburger on rye toast with sweet potatofries, the Cuban with a side of broccoli and the boneless chicken wings in Thai-chili sauce with fries. All orders were lunchspecials of $10 or less, not including drinks and taxes. All sides were hot, fresh and tasted good. The ten boneless chickenwings were delicious - hot, crunchy and tasty. The Cuban was fairly authentic and very filling. The cheeseburger was adisappointment. The meat had little to no flavor, which was too bad as the rye toast was yummy and it could have been adelicious sandwich with a good burger. All in all, 2 out of 3 of us were very satisfied and we will be back to check out anotherlunch special soon. Read more
We had a great experience eating at Dockside. We seat in their outdoor section as we enjoyed the wonderful weather. Our... waitress was amazing and very attentive and the food and beer was awesome. They had a great selection of draft beer to choosefrom. We had the fried shrimp Dinner and the Cajun Chicken Alfredo Dinner which were both delicious. They also give largepotions. Read more
Excellent service from Deborah, our server. Had to send back a dirty martini that was made by a bartender with sweet vermouth... instead of regular vermouth. Deborah made the correct one herself, and it was delicious! Even on a very busy day, she ensuredour table of 5 had everything we needed and that we were happy. Great place to watch games. Plenty of TVs, seating, and barseats. Good for all ages. Read more
