A Small and delightful restaurant. We had the fondue with chicken, mushrooms and bread. It was shared among 3 people and it was... generous, hot and delicious. We ordered two different salads. Both were fresh, great dressing and a nice size. There were twoorders of filet. ($41). Again , cooked as ordered and a nice size. The sides were delicious including fresh asparagus. I had theshrimp and lobster with spinach and spinach spaghetti. It was filled with actual cloves of garlic. My friend and I go to the Paramount Grill for special occasions or for a leisurely Sunday brunch. The entrees are not your... standard offerings. The menu offers some unique selections which gets us out of our comfort zone of only eating what we know.The staff are always very pleasant and we never feel rushed. We definitely intend to go again. We arrived at 1230pm and was told we have no tables.. I had to ask if there would be a table available even thoughi passed a... clean one on the way in.. I was then told we have one table outside. When the hostess left the stand to grab the table setupand she walked by with no words and expected us to follow her. Her tone was very rude and unwelcoming. However the server whobrought us water was very pleasant. But the damage was done we chose to leave. Read more

I'm ashamed to say I've lived in Gainesville a very long time and this was my first trip to Paramount Grill. I've always heard... great things and it certainly lives up to their reputation. Quiet little spot. Nothing flashy but cozy. Wait staff is very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. The decor is out... dated but still very clean. This place was suggested as "fine dining" so that is the only reason I gave a 4 star. This place iscasual with a great menu. Read more

Atmosphere: Small space and cozy feel. Food: Steak and Eggs Nothing special but a good option for a meal. Well seasoned and... cooked. Bison Burrito Very good flavors particularly with the fresh salsa. I enjoyed the fact that the gaminess of the bisondid not overpower the other flavors. Service: Very friendly and timely. Final thoughts: A good place to go sit down and have ameal and enjoy conversation with a special other(s). No TV or other distractions, other than people walking past the storefront. Read more

We went for Sunday brunch and were seated right away, service at first was prompt and very nice....then it all slowed down...for... no reason at all....it seemed like we were there for 2.5 hours waiting for our food. Finally the food arrived with a polite I'msorry about the wait but no explanation why....strange...Food was good, freshly made, as described.
