Visiting Brenau University from FL and hibachi sounded great after a long day of travel. All of the staff we encountered were... very friendly but the ambiance and food leave quite a bit to be desired. I’ve had good hibachi and I’ve had great hibachibut never have I had disappointing hibachi until now. Ordered filet and scallops. The filet was tender but had zero flavor.Scallops were covered in sweet shrimp sauce while cooking which was not a taste I cared for. Fried rice was crunchy andvegetables were ok but cooked on high heat so they had a little burn.Sushi, Volcano Roll had a pile of gooey mess on top thatwas I don’t even know how to describe but we managed to dig out each piece and there still was about 1/2 a cup mess on theplate. $100 later we left regretting our decision to dine here. I went to Mr. Teriyaki on Dawsonville hwy today. It was absolutely excellent! I left a bad review for the one on Jesse Jewell.... So it’s only right I leave this review. The salmon was that lovely high quality cut. It was fresh and wonderful. Not likethe salmon from the other place. The portions were great. The service was also perfect. The drinks even better. I think thatI will make the effort to come to this location. Because it is exactly how I love my sushi Read more

I honestly don't know what happened to this place, but if you're in the mood to spend almost 70.00 on burned black gyoza's and... sushi whose fish component has seen a better few days then order from here. I tried to call to bring the food back but got busysignal for over an hour. Never again. I'd rather have Publix or Kroger sushi instead. No frills and no wondering if we're gonnaget sick! Steer clear of this location. Read more

The man cooking our food. Kept making jokes calling us rednecks, then told me that where he comes from women dont talk unless... spoken to, and told my husband he needed to train me, now the redneck jokes i let slide but that was uncalled for and crossedthe line especially when it came out of no where and non of us were rude to him at all not even after. It was my moms birthdayand we absolutely hated our experience there spent over $300 you would think we would get treated like actual people and nottrash. This is the worst steakhouse ive ever been to!! Read more

As of December 2019 this is no longer Kiku, it is now Mr. Teriyaki. New owners. We visited for New Year's Eve with a party of... six. Teppenyaki is always fun for a celebration. Our sushi rolld were cold and fresh, my drink was sweet and our meal wasdelicious. I really enjoyed the dressing on the salad. I got a generous portion of tender filet and shrimp and left full. Ourchef was talented and personable. Our server was super sweet and offered to take pictures of our group. We had a great time andwill be back! Read more
