Staying at the hotel next door. Very convenient to walk over about 500 ft to this restaurant. It's what I would call a hybrid... Applebee's. It's a very small seating area of about 10 tables. As you walk in the door there's a area to the left to play pooland to the right to play pool inside the bar. Their sectioned off from each other. My waiter told me this was the only one ofthe country like that. My waiter Kendall was very friendly and attentive throughout my meal. Steak was cooked nicely. Nothing tocomplain about. Not really impressed. I will say as a local it is a shadow of its former self. Best part of our meals was the drinks. My steak... was overcooked. And the wifes food was subpar. Again shadow of its former self. There is alot of room for improvements but theyneed to start with the staff. Can honestly say that it was pure chaos from the wait staff. Seemed like they had maybe a few daystraining and thats it. Not much hospitality and customer service training. Our server was good. But we had more care andconversation with the host who seated us. We had just a couple issues. Steak was not well done as ordered and I ordered side of rice but got broccoli instead. The... waitress corrected everything and all was very good after that. When stopped in, it was a very vibe and look. It seems nice. They did a mixup with a bar atmosphere one side a pool area on the... other. The center area, was regular seating. It took a while for someone to notice. Looking around you could see several tableswere not bussed or cleaned. A family of 5 with children and an older couple were the only occupants in the dining area. Otherswere playing pool or at the bar. The table we were sat at was also not cleaned but was cleared and cleaned quickly due to bebeing in a wheelchair. Most of the other seating was in booths Once seated all seemed well. Again, the attentiveness of staffwas not there. After ordering things seemed, ok. Once the food came out, staff had to find silverware. We ate. Food was ok andon par with the bar connection. No attentiveness. The Service was just not there. The person was nice....made sure my order wascorrect but was just not there. The waitress that had slowly fading blue hair that was also working seemed to be doing a betterjob. After paying the bill, not returning... Hopefully they can fix things.... Read more
Just had dinner on a Saturday night?the restaurant was virtually empty (should have been my first sign)?they seated our family... with little kids next to the pool tables where a drunk couple was having a very suggestive conversation. We received nosilverware upon being seated. The server was short with us and didn?t seem happy to be at work at all?obviously a very poorlymanaged restaurant. There were flies everywhere?aggressively swarming our table inside?my steak was cut VERY strangely? morelike a filet but it was a sirloin?and was undercooked. I?ve been in the restaurant industry for over two decades?this was theworst restaurant experience I?ve ever had. We won?t be back. You need to retrain your staff and do a better job managing thisplace or it will be out of business soon. Also, out of steak knives? Go to Costco and buy some! That?s crazy. Read more
I?m in town for work and I called to see how late they were open, and they informed me ?midnight, but we shut the grill down at... 11:30?. My coworker and I showed up a few minutes after 10:00pm and there were 6 cars in the parking lot. Upon entering thereare 4 tables with people seated (two were already finished eating). We get seated and the hostess informed us that the grill wasalready off and there was VERY LIMITED items we could even order. No grilled food available (steaks, salmon, chicken, etc) nopasta available, you could get a salad, but no grilled chicken, they only had like 4 appetizers they could do because they can?tgrill (due to worker shortage ????). We settled on spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer, my coworker ordered a burger and Iended up ordering an oriental salad with fried chicken (minus the almonds). FORTY-FIVE minutes after ordering our appetizerfinally showed up and then another 25 minutes went by before our entrees arrived. My coworker asked for mayo at least 3 timesand it never arrived. Below is the salad I received after waiting an hour and ten minutes. I understand worker shortage and all,but with the limited number of customers, it should have never taken that long. Plus the attitude of the server and staff wasn?tvery good pretty lackadaisical - but adequate I suppose. I don?t write bad reviews as you can tell, but this was a very baddining experience. This poor Applebee?s. We showed up around 10:30 pm because it says they are open until 2 am, no doubt because casino?s are near... by. We walked in and were greeted by a very friendly waitress. She told us to have a seat anywhere but wanted us to know theyonly had 2 servers. That was fine since we only wanted appetizers since it was so late. She did a great job. We orderedquesadillas that show 8 in an order. She brought out our order and apologized that it only came with 3 very small tortillas thatwere cut in half to make our order only 6. Don?t order the appetizer to split with anyone or order 2 just for yourself.Tortillas bought at a store are at least 6? round and these looked about 4? round and then cut in half. Well good thing theyhave 2 great servers helping each other because the food was not the greatest after 10 pm. Maybe we will try this locationagain. Always ask how many pieces you get with your order even if the picture has 8 regular size portions you may only get 6small pieces. They were also out of silverware so I?m sure the kitchen was understaffed as well. I feel for the employees here.Just don?t be in a hurry or very hungry and you will get 4 star food but 5 star service! Way to go servers, good job, or thisrestaurant would only get 3 stars. Read more
Holy smokes, can I do 0 stars? We got our drinks fairly quickly and our first of the two appetizers we ordered within about 5... minutes - these are the only positives. Once the first appetizers was brought to the table we went ahead and ordered our meals.We asked for silverware and napkins, none was brought to us. My wife had to go find napkins. We asked the manager (if you wantto call him that) for silverware after the second appetizer came, which was about 20 minutes later. After another 5 minutes hebrought some over to the table. After 45 minutes of being there and still no food (or drink refills, very rarely saw ourwaitress) she came to the table and said our food was almost ready and would be out in a minute. We waited another 10 minutesand still had nothing so we had to go track her down and tell her we would just pay for the appetizers and to cancel the otherfood. The waitress went to get the "manager" so he could adjust the ticket. Never once looked at us in the eye, never apologizedfor the wait, still made us pay the $32 for 2 appetizers and 2 sodas and just walked off. Waitress tried giving us the ticketand walking off before we could give her the card and then came back with our card and no receipt to sign because SHE THREW ITAWAY lol, so we had to go get it out of the trash to sign. We were nice and respectful and gave them plenty of time but theplace wasn't even busy. Unfortunately this will be our last Applebee's experience. Read more
