Wonderful service by Angie! She was super nice and helpful, took good care of us! However, the food is so-so and hit or... miss. Crab and lobster dip was OK at best, crab dip does not need lobster BTW! Fair price at least. Onion rings like Red Robin,very good! Fried shrimp not great tasting but edible. Great tasting hush puppies! No stupid full corn chunks in there(eww) Lobster bisque is awful and tastes like wine and salt. no lobster even in it, inedible. Wife ordered extra spicy steamspiced shrimp, came out almost plain. Angie was quick to fix that for us! Crab legs were good, can't really screw that up. Allyou can eat "oldbay seasoning" on every table that is not really oldbay, or you cut it with something else plus a bucket ofsalt. Nice try there but we know what real Oldbay tastes like and costs. Overall prices are mostly reasonable forseafood. Portion sizes were just acceptable. Owners pay close attention here!!!! Other low class people with their screamingkids that pack your restaurant full may not care, but for us having to constantly fight for our $70 meal for 2 people withbunches of FLIES in your INDOOR dinning room is inexcusable and disgusting, it made our dinning experience awful!!! There wasso many flies they needed an air traffic controller! I stopped counting at seeing 7 large well fed flies in our TV dining areanext to the tikibar. No excuse for this and it implies very poor sanitation practices. No other major restaurants we go to inthe area have this problem, including those with outdoor dinning where the doors are always being opened and closed so pleasedon't use that as an excuse. Please clean up your act, and get proper pest control protocols in place asap. Not the worstdinning we ever had, but not good either. Read more
Seafood restaurant right off 29. There is a wide variety of food options that include creating your own platters. The crab cake... my wife had was the best she ever had and said next time she will just order that. The boom boom shrimp was also a niceappetizer with the shrimp cooked perfectly. Absolutely massive variety of seafood and there are certain sizes of crab that do run out so by the time we were the first party... to arrive on a Sunday morning at 11, they only had M sized crabs left rather than the L or XL. The lobster tails, crab cakes,and my favorite soft shelled crab is awesome. Some snow crab legs as well as cajun boiled shrimp. No complaints about any of thedishes. Read more
This is a well-known establishment located in the heart of Gainesville. The food is excellent and fresh seafood is available.... The crab legs that I ordered was extremely hot and open easily. I also recommend the steam spy shrimp and fried oysters. Myfavorite side dish is hush puppies. Read more
For me, I will give it five stars on this occasion. Tuesday evening, not too busy. Greeted at the door by a very bright and... bubbly girl. A nice welcome. Seated straight away. Server was lovely. Didn?t get her name. Sorry. So nice and helpful. Ourstarters were good, server explained various items on the menu and gave some recommendations. Mushroom starter. Haddock formain with plain salad, was so good. Firm and flavourful. Shrimp with entree were good and chunky. We only visit occasionallybut I do like this place. It?s basic themed environment, no frills for me is great. Hate fuss. Good tasty seafood. Which isreally what this place is all about.
