I have to piggy back off the review that was given two weeks ago by Darlene Kep, as I totally agree with her. Service at the... Glory Days location in Gainesville, Virginia was sub par and bartender who was working during the Sunday night football gamegave me vibes that she didn?t want our business. We definitely could have ordered another round of drinks but the server handedour bills to us before we even were done. Wings were delicious. I ordered the Honey seasoned with Ole Bay. I?d have to say itwas probably the best wings I?ve had since eating at Jimbo?s. I would have given it a 2 star due to the attitude and service wereceived but the cook did an excellent job on preparing and cooking the wings. Read more
My kids always ask to go here for birthdays. Service is OK. Food is OK. If my kids didn't ask to go it wouldn't be my first... choice. Which is sad because I used to work for glory days years ago and it was an amazing experience. Sad it's gone downhill Read more
Frequent this place quite often. Extremely disappointed in the below sub par service I just left from receiving. Server made us... feel like a burden just for ordering. Worked 6 years in restaurants as a former server, absolutely unacceptable. If your cutthat?s not my fault I was sat in your section, make the best of it and make your money like I have time and time again. Order was correct and ready on time. The salad was good and fairly large for a ?half? size. The funnel fries were tasty. But... very disappointed with the fish tacos. Super fishy tasting, only took a couple bites. Bad fish?! Otherwise it was a nice change.Definitely wouldn?t order fish if I ever go back. Read more
My husband and I decided to stop by Glory Days for dinner because we wanted a quick bite to eat on the way home. We started off... by ordering our drinks and a half order of the macho nachos NO TOMATO. Neither of us are allergic, I just really don't liketomato, hence me ordering our nachos with no tomato. A few minutes later, the nachos are delivered to our table absolutelyloaded with tomatoes. We wait for our waitress to come by (the nachos were delivered by another server) and we ask for a newserving of nachos with no tomato. The waitress apologizes and says something to the effect of she forgot to ring the nachos inwith no tomato. That's okay, not a problem, stuff happens. She tells us we will get new nachos in just a few minutes. Sureenough, a few minutes later, she brings us a new serving of nachos... except it's not a new serving. It's the plate we sent backwith about half of the tomatoes picked off. (I had my husband eat one to make sure they were tomatoes and not bell peppers.) Atthat point, I just picked around the tomatoes and we ate what we could. I could have picked them off myself if that's what Iwanted to do. I sent them back in the first place because I wanted a new order. Again, I'm not allergic, I just don't like them.I realize there's worse things in the world than getting tomatoes on your food, but I shouldn't have to struggle to get my foodmade the way I ordered it. Really low key atmosphere with wings that compete with B-Dubs. They are a little bigger, have a better crisp, and that Glory... Sauce is amazing. Very good sides and chili too. The waiter was a bit slow, but nice, and did a good job with a little nudgingalong. He allowed me to order a side of the crispy onion straws that normally only come on top of one of their burgers, so extrapoints there. A great neighborhood spot that has local beers on tap, good food, and low lighting for a relaxed vibe. Read more
Crab pretzel was decent. Could tell it was microwaved. The fried pickles were horrible. Pickles had zero flavor. The breading... was also tasteless and way too much for a pickle slice. If you want great fried pickles head to Sheetz, they are not onlydelicious but much cheaper for the same size. Update: it was nice to talk to the owner via email. I moved up one star for thistype of customer service. Not everything is to everyone?s taste. I do a lot of reviews with over 1/2 million views. Please makeyour own mind up. Read more
