A little confused as ti why it takes so long not only to receive your order but to have it taken ti begin with. There's 5 to 6... people back there almost every time I come here and it appears that the wait is only getting longer. You will literally wait 10minutes at the counter before someone walks over to take your order and up to 20 minutes to receive it. I Waited for my smothie order 10 mins or more at 3:00 pm today . 2 orders that where taking after mine were delivered . Cashier... person didn't even ask me anything and actually went home and looked unhappy probably because i didn't leave a tip on my creditcard . I asked a guy behind the counter about my smothie order and he seemed confuse , He looked through the tickets , went tothe back , and decided to check the app orders desk , and found my smothie with 3 more on the same to go cup holder Ready to bepicked up. Wow ! Now , my question is what if I actually decided to tip the cashier ? Would that be a faster way to get yourorder in a timely manner? or better yet.. the attention it deserves ? Read more

I visit Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Gainesville quite often and for about 10 years now. I like Mocha Madness smoothie and always... order it without added Turbinado sugar. And the smoothie was always tasty enough until the last two months. Now almost everytime it looks like crushed ice lightly tinted with chocolate. Firstly, there is no taste, and secondly, drinking it simplyimpossible due to large pieces of ice that get stuck in the straw. I was quite patient at first, but when patience came to anend, every time I made an order, I asked to make my smoothie at least drinkable. But nothing seems to work. Highly understaffed for lunch hours. Only had 3 people working so there was delay on the food and smoothies. They forgot to make... my smoothie so I ended up having to stay longer than planned. Also, the cashier was making the smoothies. Read more

I love smoothies. And I need don't mean 'like'. It's really more of an unhealthy obsession. I love fruit, and juice and ice...... and apparently sugar too. Tropical Smoothie Cafe is one of the better chains for fruit smoothies. They don't have standardflavors I like, but they're always willing to make mine to order. Read more

All the smoothies come with "turbinado" which is a marketing smokescreen for "sugar". But I've gotten about 10 green smoothies... recently and I skip the extra sugar every time and they are perfectly great as-is. Refreshing and tasty without being sicklysweet. Good coupons with purchase usually too! The wraps were good too. Knocking one star off for no organic options/ingredientswhatsoever on the menu and no whole grain tortillas/wrap bread, only white bread. Read more
