Food okay, management bad. I had a $5 coupon. After triple checked with the staff, they finally still ?forgot? to apply the... coupon while holding it in hand, and even tried to explain to me why the price was correct. If A tiny mistake isunderstandable, what happened next shocked me. Two staffs held a discussion for 5 mins, then called their manager another 5 minsfor overcharging me $5 dollars. And their final decision is I need to come back next day when their manager is here bc theycan?t do anything??????? What about giving me a free item or simply refund me a $5 cash?????? Plus, when I ordered a bowl, Iasked if I can replace items listed in the combo with other topping, they said ?sure?. And when checking out, I realized thesereplaced items are not complementary. It?s always better to let us know ahead(smile). Feels like scam and let u fallin. Anyway, 5 bucks and not complementary replaced topping is just small money, but this store dealing like this makes me feelit?s so cheap, Poor management, unprofessional staffs. Would never be here again. (Update): the next day, my GF went to thestore again. After another 10-15mins back and forth, they refunded us 5 bucks, in cash. Read more

I finally got to have my first Experience here! It was awesome! Staff was friendly and didn?t make me feel like an idiot for... having to be walked through the options. I opted to create my own bowl- and it was scrumptious! Very clean and casualenvironment. Great for kids! Perfect addition to diversify the Kentlands neighborhood food scene! Thank you again! I had been looking forward to their opening for some time, so naturally I was really excited for my first visit. But it wasn't... impressive. I ordered the kale base with nothing but fruit topping option. The kale base was good, but sweeter than I prefer.The portion was very small and it totaled $14 for one bowl. This would be a good option for dessert or snack, but I wouldn'tconsider this an option for a meal. The service is good. I would rather continue making my own bowls at home. I was super excited to try this place out!! I haven't had too many acai bowls so don't have that much to compare to but the... bowls here are BIG and filling! They are a bit on the pricy side but they give you SO MUCH FRUIT :D Idk if this is normal but Ihad literally wholeass banana chopped up into mine which was amaaazing the last acai bowl I had gave me like 6 pieces. Thereare 5 different bases you can choose from and all of then are pretty solid and flavorful. You can ask to try samples of the basebefore committing which is super nice of them ???? Suprisingly the acai was the worst flavor so my friends and I opted forpitaya and coconut (very sweet!!) The inside is pretty spacious and there's some cute mural art in the back :) Overall thisplace is a great addition to the Kentlands area, and can definitely see myself coming back, especially in the summer! This place has tasty bowls to try. I recommend trying the Spirulina; it is sweet and very fruity. Their fruit is clearly fresh... and good quality. The reason I don't give 5 stars is because they are very pricy. It is a good occasional treat, and the servingsizes are decent, but expect to be paying $11+ for a single bowl with toppings. Their customer service is friendly and fairlyquick. The store is in an area that has been recently renovated and so there is outdoor seating under lanterns now. Read more
