It was indeed a great experience overall. Literally made my day and will visit again for sure. I tried a vegetarian bowl with my... wife and The lemon rice, chana masala, butter naan, and onion kulcha were amazing. Gulab Jamuns were awesome (3 pieces in oneplate). Went an hour before they closed. It was great, it is a nice restaurant, convenient location. Staff welcomed me naturally and... with care. They have vegetarian options, i chose sheesh kebab with basmati rice, it was tasty and spicy which i loved. It wasgood enough for 2 people . The location is clean and there are enough space to sit. I have asked (at least the past 3 times) to make it "mild" since I have health issues and cannot eat spicy food. They do not... care. They say the do but they still send you the food super spicy. Their excuse is "oh it is spicy for you" but I know spicyfood and they send it very spicy. This happened again for the third time. Why ask if I want the food "mildly spicy or medium orvery spicy" if you are going to do whatever you want? Today I called them before ordering and ask them to please send me thelentil dish mild and they just do not care, it was very spicy. Please do not pretend to care if you don't. Words come and go butactions are what matters. We used to get more than $100 orders but we order less and less and now I will never get your food!!! Read more
I am very regular customer and almost every week I eat from spice life due to good taste but they keep playing with people... safety. This is second time where I found safety issue. First time I got iron pin and this time I am seeing glass infood. Safety is more important than anything else. This is hazardous as good restaurant and not giving attention for safety. Read more
Tried the biryani it was quite tasty. You can order from the menu or you can do a bowl if you want something quick.
I ordered gobhi manchurian which is really tasty. But the other item which I ordered i.e. Paneer tikka masala is actually not... taste like it. It is ok though but not at all like Paneer tikka. The bread I ordered was garlic and chilly garlic naan so bothtaste same as there is no spice I found in chilly garlic naan. But the naan is soft so no issue with that. I also ordered mangolassi which taste good. Restaurant is clean and hygienic. Staff is good. My overall experience is good except the paneer curry. Read more
I ordered carryout. I would've ordered ahead online, but I wanted to scope the place out in person. My first impression was that... it looked a little Chipotle like, with hot food in steam pans behind a sneeze guard, but that's for people ordering bowls. Iordered off the regular menu: Samosas, Aloo Gobi, Chicken Tika Masala and Butter Naan. The food took about 20 minutes to beready, and 10 minutes later it was still hot when I got home. The rice was so fragrant. All the dishes were really tasty and thesamosas were huge. I will definitely be ordering from here again. Looking forward to leftovers tomorrow. Read more
I HAVE EATEN HERE RETURNED ATLEAST 20+ TIMES, AND BROUGHT WITH ME 10 FRIENDS ON SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE STAFF WELCOME ME WITH A... SMILE AND ASK ME HOW IVE BEEN EVEY SINGLE TIME, AND DIFFERENT STAFF TOO! THIS IS MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN GAITHERSBURG AREA.THE BOWL IS UNBEATABLE. I LOVE THE BUTTER CHICKEN, THE GARLIC NAAN, BIRIYANI. THE BOWL IS AMAZING, SO MUCH FOOD, BUT THE REST OFTHE MENU IS ALSO SO AUTHENTIC. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SPICE LIFE. HIDDEN GEM.
