Sorry service for sure. Took a bit to get seated and there wasn't many customers. But there was allot of employees walking... around. After seated it took 10 minutes for a waitress to get our drink orders. Food came and we seen our waitres leave andcome back 20 minutes later with Starbucks in her hand and no service while she was gone. The fryers weren't working, so themenu was limited. Ordered the lunch special for $6.99, had water to drink. I ordered the 1/2 club sandwich and house salad. The salad was brown... and wilted, nasty. The bread was crusted and hard. Not warm at all. The croutons were stale. Waitress apologized, andoffered to bring me something else, but did not offer to take any off the bill, even though I didn't eat the food. Oh well! We had a great lunch at Applebee's on Sunday. The food and service were excellent, and the prices were modest. We had a 6-Ounce... Sirloin ($14.99), French Onion Soup ($5.49), Garden Salad ($4.99), Iced Tea ($3.39) and Coffee ($2.49). Our waiter was veryattentive and friendly. A great place to stop in Galax. Read more
The service has been great! The real issue I have is no A/C in the bar area and it?s been this way all summer but they just... purchased four (4) new TVs. It?s disappointing and Applebees corporate should have minimum requirements for inside temperatures.It?s hot in here and if I?m hot so are the staff. I bet turnover is high and return customer is low. Also the sounds coming outof the reach-in coolers behind the bar are louder than the music playing in the background. Came through the door and there was an older lady and her two grandchildren waiting on someone to acknowledge they were there.... They finally came out of the kitchen to tell the lady and the kids there will be a 20 minute wait. No problem with that, butwhen the lady asked if they could sit at a table while waiting the hostess said ?No I?m not allowed to sit you at a table. Youcan sit on the bench.? There was at least 15 tables/ booths open. Very poor management. I went to Creek Bottom instead. BetterService By Far. Read more
