Stopped for dinner while staying in Galena this weekend and really enjoyed the stop. The chips and fresh salsa were very good ... My wife and I shared a Family Margarita Flight (see picture), which was a great value compared to the much smaller version for2/3rds the cost. All flavors were delicious (Jalapeno, Pineapple, Watermelon & Mango) - and the Taijin on the rim made themeven better! For our meal, we shared an order of Fajitas (see pictures) and not only was it very good, but it was plenty offood for both of us. It was a bit pricey, but if you are selective in your choices it is manageable - and it all tastes great! If you like Mexican food, you'll want to stop here during your stay. The good: the wait staff was very kind and pleasant. The bad: we got seated in a small little off shoot of the building with... lots of windows. It was hot and swarming with flies. Flies were swarming and landing all over us within seconds of sittingdown. I requested to move due to the flies and we were seated somewhere else in the restaurant. We sat down and went to pourwater into my own glass. Luckily they don?t do that for you because I would likely have not noticed that my water glassdisgustingly dirty, similarly to the menus. Our menus had dried cilantro and salsa on it and the pages were sticky. Themargaritas were served in a hot glass, were weak, and tasted like a generic marg mix. I can?t comment on the taste of the picode Gallo, as ours was served with wilted and bad tomatoes. But I can comment that their tortilla chips were stale. Butprobably would taste great if they were served fresh. My wife maybe had 2 bites of her food and had them throw it away. Minewasn?t terrible. I ate the majority of my food but it is nowhere near top notch and does not justify the cost. It was alsointeresting to watch the staff continue to seat people in the area with all the flies. We stopped to eat here after we had a family outing. The restaurant had very little air conditioning so it was a bit stifling. ... The food was good and we had an very attentive waiter. We would have rated it 5 stars but we would have like to eat in a cooleratmosphere. The fried ice cream was delicious and big enough for several people to share. Read more

Just off the beaten path in Galena, this restaurant has quick table service, excellent food and cold drinks. We had freshly made... chunky guacamole, chicken tacos and a chicken burrito suiza. Love this spot for their chill patio seating. Great deal on their pitcher margarita and love that they serve complimentary chips... and pico. Their queso is excellent as well. The chips that came with it were really fluffy and slightly sweet which we reallyliked. Their entrees are great and appreciate a more condensed menu with really good options and modifications. Rice and beanswere not my favorite but everything else made up for it and I would absolutely come back! Read more
Wonderful restaurant! We were able to sit on the rooftop which was shaded and comfortable, even in the summer heat! The food was... delicious and the service was fantastic! This is a really unique place to eat just off the Main Street of Galena. Read more
