We stayed at DeSoto House and got breakfast from Courtyard twice. The Apple Compote French Toast was so good! I wish I got it... the second day too. The lemon blueberry crepes were good but now I'm craving the apple French toast again. It didn't need syrup. The heavy whipped cream was a perfect compliment for it. My husband loved it too! We also ate at the Generals Restaurant andthe pasta dishes were very good. Their bread/herb butter was amazing. Sarah, the server, was phenomenal. Very friendly andpersonable. Read more

Very nice restaurant located in the heart of downtown. I had the Cuban and it was "ok" ..too sweet for my liking. I found out... it's less sweet of you remove the pickle. Others at my table had Mac and cheese, fries, fruit, and more. The service was verygood, the staff - especially the latina ladies working here - are awesome. The place is very nice. I could do without theGeneral Lee portrait on the wall but hey, to each his own. I would return again next time I'm in town but I won't be getting theCuban. Read more

We ordered take out, the biscuits and gravy weren't prepared right and they skimped on the gravy, the skillet was very average... and the cheese sauce did not help also the hostess had a bit of an attitude. This spot is only really worth it for convenienceif you're staying at the DeSoto. Go to Otto's Place instead, it's better in every way and right next door to some lovely parkpicnic tables if you'd want to eat outdoors. Read more

Our first experience is likely our last. In many restaurants they are understaffed, but this is not the case at the Courtyard... Restaurant. They had so many servers that they all stood around chatting near the POS ordering station. While no one feelsthat you should be waited on constantly at a restaurant, it is frustrating to be sitting without water or coffee for longperiods of time while you sit and watch your server chat with the other servers. Pros: The biscuit and gravy that I had as aside was delicious. I would recommend ordering this as a meal. The two eggs were cooked perfectly to my order. The food cameout quickly and the order was accurate. Cons: The hash browns tasted as if they were made the night before. They were dry andhad no flavor. The service was extremely slow despite having over a dozen servers and staff standing around. It feltuncomfortable eating our meal as the other servers and staff stood and chatted while staring at us. The loudest noise in therestaurant was the employees chatting. Please keep in mind that this one review is just the summation of our first experienceand everyone should give Courtyard Restaurant a try to have their own experience. Read more

We ordered veggie omelette and waffles. The food was awesome The seating and the interior is historic. Very nice... experience. The order got lost and it took 45 minutes to arrive. The server was nice enough to voluntarily offer to wave ourentire bill and we dinned for free. Read more

Service was great. Ambiance was magical with the large Christmas tree and music. It wasn?t very crowded. Absolutely ZERO vegan... options? unless you get the fruit plate without yogurt. We expected much more from the food but it wasn?t as great. Basically, three stars mostly due to the location, wait staff, and ambiance. Read more
