Asked the clerk if they carried a turtle flavored caramel corn and instead of answering she pointed to a corner of the store and... said ?any chocolate flavors would be over there.? She and another gal we?re chatting behind the counter, we were the only ones nthe store. It was 5:30 Friday evening, the start of a busy weekend and they were out of dark chocolate as well as several otherflavors. I asked about ice cream which was the main reason we stopped by. We've loved this popcorn store for years. There's so many delicious popcorn options and other sweet treats. The store is so... nostalgic looking inside and there's usually samples to try if you're having trouble figuring out which popcorn you want out ofthe many choices. If you buy three bags, you get to scratch off a scratcher to find out what discount you'll get. The store isopen, I suggest dropping in because it may be closed even early in the day. Read more
We go to Galena twice a year and absolutely love it we always make a stop to get our popcorn & puffs. We placed an order online... because we ran out and needed our fix. This was the first time we placed an order online some of our items were forgotten Icontacted them via email and they took care of the issue right away. My wife and I recently were married in Galena and were looking for ideas for snacks for our reception. We were given the... suggestion of this place from her mother. While we visited the wedding venue before our date, we made it a point to stop by andtry some flavors before making a decision. The staff was so nice and you could tell they loved serving their famous popcorn. Wewere so delighted to sample some of the flavors and there were so many to choose from! Everything from sweet, to salty, tosavory, this place has a flavor for everyone. We decided to order a large batch to serve as favors for our wedding. The Popcorncompany offers different packaging and graphics and you can choose a variety of flavors. We decided to go with five flavors andthey were able to customize each with our wedding logo and a neat quote. The popcorn turned out to be a HUGE hit at the wedding.It was the one thing that every guess continued to mention well after the wedding. A fun store to visit! They also gave out some samples of popcorns for people to test. When we visited in the beginning of April,... and ice cream part was closed (not sure if it?s because of the winter or COVID). They offered a wide selection of popcornflavors - we tried the caramel one and it?s not too bad. Read more
This place is so awesome!!! Always a fun and yummy treat to visit here! Tons of gourmet popcorn, amazing fudge and candies, and... a huge fancy soda selection with cool bottles ! My kids and I absolutely love to visit here when we go to Gelena. Definitely amust see...and taste! Read more
A MUST Place to Stop and Shop! If you like speciality popcorn, chocolates, candy, and ice cream: then this is the place to go! ... The combinations of flavors seems to be endless. The friendly staff will give you samples if you aren't sure just how good itis. This is in the historic part of town, so parking is limited. I don?t know what I?ve been doing visiting Galena all these years and not going to this store. You don?t even have to be a fan... of popcorn to enjoy their selection. There are so many flavors for sweet and savory lovers and themed flavors as well. I endedup going twice in one weekend and bought 7 bags. Every flavor I have tried has been amazing. We brought a bag for our smallfamily thanksgiving and it was gone within an hour. Their popcorn makes for a great gift as well during the holiday season! Read more
