Was a little leary of ordering from Joe"s, Ordered a small pizza with extra cheese, it was ready in 15 min and was Fantastic,... meats and cheese were abundant and flavorful. The place was dead with almost no one in the actual restaurant. I waited over thirty minutes for my food (just one pizza) I... proceeded to watch two employees leaning on the buffet counter jacking off these blue rubber toys on their fingers. When i wentto go ask how much longer my food was going to take they proceeded to ignore me and continue to count their tips in front of me.Overall i was not satisfied with the customer service. I do not recommend going here as the guests themselves were nicer andmore professional than the workers themselves. We dined in tonight. They do have a family special on Mondays and Tuesdays: a large pizza w/ unlimited toppings for $20. A tad... pricy but the pizza was good. Came our piping hot and took about as long as you expect for a fresh made to order pizza (20-30min, and yes they were decently busy). This is a SELF SERVICE type deal. You order first, then sit down. They bring your pizza,but you're in charge of getting your own drink, utensils, plates, and napkins. We had no issue with it at all as we were told upfront. Happy Joe's was the highlight of my stay in Galena. The pizza is excellent, and the addition of American favorites such as fried... chicken, salads, ice cream, and milkshakes are an added incentive to visit. I liked it so much we ended up eating here threetimes while in town. Their prices are much more reasonable than most downtown food offerings. Conversely, you will feel at homewith their friendly customer service. Kudos to Dawn, Samantha, and Tanya for taking care of my party during our visit.
