My husband had the fish taco meal and said it was very good. I had 2 beef tacos and they were okay. The waitress came to take... our order right away but I needed a little time to look at the menu, so then it took quite a while for her to come back, in factmy husband went to get her. We waited a long time for our food and listened to the waitress swatting flies while we waited. The prices were pretty high as well. I doubt that we will go back. Read more

I can?t say enough wonderful things!! We ordered catering for 100 for our pre wedding welcome dinner and it was DELICIOUS! We... worked with Hector to place the order who was more than helpful and gracious organizing the details. He followed up once wepicked up the food to confirm we had everything we needed and the food was satisfactory! All of our guests couldn?t stop ravingabout the food! Years ago, I went to a Los Aztecas in another state and really didn?t enjoy it. While this location was better, it was only... slightly better. One thing that was consistent was the lack of flavor in most of the food. The salsa was actually really good,but the queso and most entrees were really void of spice and salt. I thought the chips didn?t seem fresh and all varied in colorin and the queso tasted like macaroni cheese and had zero spice or salt. The shining feature was the $9 margarita that wasmassive and actually really good. Service was good and quick. Overall nothing felt super clean or tidy either. We ate here after checking into the Stoney Creek hotel just next door while visiting Galena recreationally. The atmosphere here... is very nice and the staff was very pleasant, but the food was outstanding! I ordered the grilled chicken breast with chorizoand cheese, served with flour shells and rice? it was excellent, and I would order it again! The service here was amazing and fast. If I am dining at a Mexican restaurant, I expect that the food will be authentic. When I... asked how they prepared their tacos, the server said they were more of an American style taco with lettuce and tomatoes. Shecustomized mine to be authentic with cilantro and onions instead. There was a mistake on my order where I ordered chicken butthey served me beef. It wasn?t a big issue but when the server realized this she insisted on correcting it and had my dinnerready in about 5 minutes at most. My husband ordered the seafood fajita and asked to supplement the scallops for chicken . Shewas happy to help him with this accommodation as well. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend thislocation and will definitely come back next time I am in Galena. I forgot to take a photo of my meal because she had removed myplate to remake it. Read more
A great place to eat if you're looking for something off the tourist main strip. Delicious Mexican food and very tasty... margaritas. Prices were shockingly reasonable, too. Next tme I'm in town I'll definitely visit again! Read more
