This place is GREAT. We went there in the evening, it was pretty late, and I always hate going to a place a half hour before it... closes, bit the service was OUTSTANDING. We were never rushed, never pressed to make an order....on the food side, it wasexcellent. I know Mexican food, having lived in South Texas for a number of year. The flavors, the dishes, how they areprepared, are all authentic. More than worth the drive! Read more

Here's what you need to know. No complimentary chips and salsa. So you pay for warmed-up, store-bought chips, not made... in-house. Salsa (one choice), is runny and vinegar-tasting. Do not have adult beverage offerings. The food - managed to leavecheese out of the chimichanga. Just filled with tons of beans, very little meat. I waited for cilantro and limes to bedelivered to my table for my Mexican-style tacos (supposed to come with them), and by the time I got them, my tacos werecold. Management had our waitress (sweet woman), come to tell us that they took half off the chimichanga. She said she hadasked to take off the whole amount, but the manager refused. And then refused to talk to us. This place is off the list. Read more

Have to pay for chip & salsa, not automatically brought before you order. Salsa was thin, not very chunky and mostly bottled... sauce. Food portions were sized good, and taste was better than average. Rice & beans were nothing special. Not the worst placewe have ate, but certainly not the best either. Would eat there again if we were starving and didn't want to wait to drive toanother mexician food location within 30 minutes. Read more

A friend who lives in the area took us to eat at this restaurant, and it was great. We had chip with guacamole, which was... delicious. The kids had a huge burrito and I had the fajitas. Everything was tasty. On our YouTube channel where we document ourtravels, when we eat we see if a restaurant can meet the 3 Fs: fast, friendly and filling, and this one meet all 3! Definitelycheck it out if you are in the area! Read more

We have recently moved to the Galesburg/Richland area and have been trying out local places to eat. Stumbled across this... restaurant and are very pleased we did so. Well decorated with a homely sunny feel. Very spacious with a mixture of seatingstyles. The menu is varied with classic Mexican style dishes. Good sizes and cooked fresh. Very fair prices and the service hasalways been very warm and friendly. We have visited several times so far and have had a very consistent dining experience eachtime. I would definitely recommend giving this local restaurant a try, it might become your new favourite too. Read more

I am a stickler for authentic Mexican and this place is one of my favorites. The beans and rice are amazing and perfectly... seasoned. The queso and chips are so good! I am so glad my husband's coworker showed him this hidden gem, they eat there on theregular. Just wish it was closer! They should have five stars, honestly convinced anyone who wasn't pleased probably only eatflour tortillas. Read more
