Wonderful addition to Galien, on SW Michigan’s “Main Line,” Cleveland Avenue: the only north-south through route, running... from the Indiana state line to Lake Michigan. Already discovered as a destination by bicyclists, and by all ages, including usgrandparents.\n\nHigh quality, interesting food, without pretension. Friendly owners (Alice, aka “Al” pictured), charminghistoric building.\n\nUPDATE, 11/7/22: this remains a blue ribbon standout. I love everything about this place - the food, thequaint shop, but mainly the terrific owners. A happy place and now the proud recipients of a “Welcome” plaque from Galien(see new added pic). The best sandwich ever! I\'m looking forward to working my way thru their menu. We ordered 3 sandwiches. The liverwurst, turkey... bacon and tuna melt. All done on toasted sour dough bread. However, the chocolate peanut butter tart was the big winner. If youhaven\'t tried it, TRY IT! ...I\'m buying 2 next time and bringing one home! Read more

Incredible coffee, fantastic selection of sandwiches, great atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. 10/10 absolutely worth a... drive to if you’re in the area.\n\nSandwiches are a little pricey ($9-$13) but the bread is fresh baked and delicious, themeats are juicy and tasty, and get a coffee with it and you’re in heaven. If this place was in a big city it would probablyhave a Michelin Star. Enough said. Read more
