Got seated and one waitress was waiting for our waitress Delilah to take our order and drinks. Didn't see her so the other... waitress took our drink order and food order. Wasn't busy at the time. Maybe 4 other tables beside us around noon to 1pm. Onetable waiting to check out the others being helped by the other waitress. Our food came and I order the Regan burger mostlycause of the side of jelly beans. Waitress Delilah placed it and left. Some of the workers came out and to look out the doorwith her. Don't know what that was about. Had to wave her down to get a refills on our drinks and ask about my jelly beans.After giving us our items she left and I noticed the other waitress working hard. Taking phone order and helping her tables.When people came in they just look around and left. About done with the meal then asked how or where we pay she said she'll cashus out. When new customers came in waitress Delilah didn't say anything or smile. No 'hello or we'll be with you' it was theother waitress that did. I counted at least 7 people on staff. The vibes in this place is unique. I highly recommend it. My wife and I have been travelling via Route 66 from Illinois and we... purposely booked this hotel because this hotel/motel was highly recommended too. The restaurant offers great food. Servers werefriendly too. The room we got is not that big. It has a king bed. No fridge, No microwave. Has an led tv, bathroom is modernwith very good quality toiletries. Love, love, love this gorgeous, vintage, historic gem in Gallup, New Mexico. It is a site to be seen, felt, experienced,... remembered, appreciated and talked about. I felt the good energy in the air and the rich history that lives on within the hotel.Intriguing, odd, mysterious, unbelievable, amazing, things could happen at any moment... Pay attention to everything. You neverknow what you could witness and or experience. The staff is friendly and informative with stories about the El Rancho Hotel,it's famous history and more current days. Definitely coming back here multiple times in the future. We were traveling through New Mexico and our Son wanted to "Stop and Eat where the Movie Stars once did" (I guess he Googled it,... we had no idea how he even knew about "El Rancho Hotel Restaurant") We had Lunch (Burgers & Club Sandwich) the Food was Good,but the Service was Excellent along with the Atmosphere! My Wife & Son spent time looking at all the Memorabilia while waitingfor our order. I've been here many times with my Mother when I was younger. Old Western Film Glamor! Read more
