All the ladies in the morning breakfast are fantastic. Best breakfast I ever had at any hotel hands down much respect ????.... Location is perfect. The night lady in lobby is super sweet and very business friendly. Ate at Nick's in parking lot. Not badnot over the top. The bartender and waiter were pleasant. I don't really care for the lay out of hotel it's a little confusingat 1st. Room was nice but not very clean ???? sand and ashes on counter. Overall on price this is a great place to stay. Betterthan a resort. Read more

Our server Armando was impeccable, courteous and unobtrusive. Food was very good. Had the fresh oysters, try the soft shelled... crabs harvested from Texas waters. They're much bigger than the Asian varieties I've tried before. ????. This place is aninstitution, has plenty of old school charm and history. Had a little time travel with our lunch. Read more

Went here for lunch before taking our son to A&M. We are all very pleasantly surprised by the freshness and quality of our... food! We had the seafood tower, and everything was perfect. The raw oysters and shrimp were so tasty. One of us also orderedthe steak salad, and she said it was better than what she was expecting. The pecan pie is a definite must try!!! The pecansinstead of a regular crust just did me in. I was already so full, but could not stop eating! Service was a bit slow, but thefriendliness and care offered by our server and the food quality… well that’s what earns my 5 star review. Read more

My wife and I are in Galveston for a weekend getaway and this was our first stop. We were greeted immediately and had a brief... wait to be seated (I don't think it was even 15 minutes). I thought it took some time for us to be initially served but onceDavid did serve us, he was excellent. We started with a round of drinks at the bar and met some really cool people. TheBartender was a little abrasive but not so much that it was an issue. Once seated, we ordered the Onion Stack and dinner. Theonion stack was disappointing. It wasn't well put together at all. Then we waited a long time for our entrees. It was late sothe kitchen wasn't really busy but our wait was outside of 20 minutes. We both ordered the 16 oz ribeye- hers medium and minemedium well. I think mine was a little undercooked and hers a little over but the taste was spot on. The manager did offer us acomplimentary dessert. Overall, it was a pretty good experience but for the price, location, and seemingly semi-fine diningappeal, step up the service. Read more

By far the best seafood restaurant we've tried. Made a reservation on their website, when arrived there were multiple guests... with at the same time. We had to wait but wasn't too bad. The greeter was polite and attentive. When seated, our server Enriqueshowed up and had a big smile on his face. He was professional, very well dressed up and very knowledgeable of the menu andtheir offering. He also gave us a brief history of the beginnings of the restaurant and its founder. Impressive for staff tocare that much about the founding of their employers place. That says a lot about management and the culture. The food wasawesome. Enrique helped us make selections and his suggestions were on point to our likings! The crabcake was super rich and webarely finished it. Tasted like food from heaven! The experience was perfect for the premium price that dinner cost. They giftedus a very flavorful birthday chocolate cake. Nice touch!! Will be back again, soon! Read more

We loved our experience at Gaido’s and it is now one of our favorite in Galveston. I recommend you try the seafood pasta ,... that’s what my husband had and it was DELICIOUS ! So creamy. All their seafood is so fresh. Mine was good but I wish I hadchosen a seafood dish. Now the gumbo was a different for us. First time having gumbo this thick, it was okay. Drinks weregreat . Can’t wait to go back! Read more

First of all, this restaurant has so many years from 1911, this is a reflection of the quality of their food. Very classic,... elegant and the most important to me the freshest of the seafood. This is my second time visiting Galveston and I will keepvisiting for this kind of restaurant that makes the food so delicious and makes you to come back. I just enjoyed the food butnext time I will take the pictures. Also, our waitress was her name, Chelsea, she offered us a wonderful service and so nicethat made us so special, we are so thankful to her. The price are reasonable for the type of food, I think is in between notexpensive and not cheap. I totally recommend this place at least try once and you will come back again. Read more

It was even better than the last few times we had been there which was a few years ago. My compliments to the chef. Cliff was... our waiter and took good care of us. I had the grilled scallops with asparagus and it was delicious! My son had the friedshrimp. I would have preferred all the staff wear masks though. I'm still a little paranoid about Covid. But apart from thateverything was nice. We had a window seat with a nice view of the beach. Read more
