Sorry to say, but there are much better restaurants in Galveston, it's a very competitive dining environment in this obviously... "foodie" focused city. Many options are within walking distance. The restaurant menu selection was was fantastic. We started with their shrimp & calamari plate along with buffalo shrimp as... appetizers. My wife had The veggie burger which was so delicious it almost made her question it it was real beef. I had thewagu-beef burger which hit the spot. Sky was an excellent waitress. Helpful and responsive without being overbearing. My wife had the filet which was excellent and I... had spare Rib. Only a fork was needed, extremely tender and flavored well. The old fashioned was Orange scent heavy but tastedgreat. Paired with Stout beer I enjoyed the meal from start to finish. This was my family's first time here our waiter (Ryan) was great excellent customer service. The manager (John) was so welcoming... he came to our table to make sure everything was good. The food was delicious we had to thank the chef (Alberto) for doing sucha great job in the kitchen. We highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!!! Read more
For my husband birthday I took him to Hearsay. This was one of our favorite restaurants and I spoke highly of them. We haven’t... been over a month and since then I don’t know what happened. We walked in and was standing at the front for 5 minutes before Iwent to the bar where the workers was gathered and talking. We get seated order drinks and appetizers. The Whitney was horriblethe normal (male)bartender was not there. The appetizers(bread basket and clam chowder) was the only thing that was good. Whenthe entrees came out my husband steak was burnt and it was suppose to be medium, the Brussels sprouts was old and sitting, thesalad was old lettuce not fresh, the Mac was bland no flavor at all. I’m not the one to complain but this was a specialoccasion and it was horrible. The manager comped the steak and salad. With tip we still paid 66.96 for our horrible experience.Another place scratched off our list. Read more
Nice ambience. We went in for early dinner. We were looking forward to trying their crab crusted redfish but unfortunately it... was not available. We were told after we already finished our appetizers. Had to change entrée and had to wait for the new oneto cook which took a while. The food was okay. Read more
Great food and atmosphere. The best smoked old fashion I’ve had. The pork chop was cooked as ordered, medium and tasted... wonderful. Wife said the grilled salmon was delicious. The staff was so accommodating since we didn’t have reservations. Wewould have preferred a table but we’re fine to sit upstairs at the bar. Read more
