Everyone kept recommending this place. We went for an event at Evia so finally decided to give it a try. Food was just okay.... Nothing to write home about. My husbands burger was over cooked. They claimed they had "best burger on the island" & he was verydisappointed. Beautiful area shared by Sugarbean to enjoy the view & let your kids play. Staff was friendly. Such great food, beautiful aesthetic surrounding the restaurant. Although I didn't take pics of the food because we were ready... to eat, don't order the pancakes, everything else was great! When you walk in, the place is small, but if you walk out throughthe back door and over to the left, there is additional indoor seating with greenery backdrop. There is outside seating as wellwith a little play area for the kiddos to play. Parking was tight and because it is located within a beautiful neighborhoodthere were a lot of golf carts parked there too. Read more
At first I thought the food was a little pricey, then we got our order and I understood. The food was wonderful, large portion... sizes. The environment though, the outside patio area was so amazing. Quaint place with great outdoor seating and good views. Everything seems made by hand the catfish was juicy and crisp at the... same time. The hash browns and breakfast is amazing with syrup in a warmer that comes out hot. They also have a coffee bar andassortment of alcoholic beverages including wines. They even have merch and coffee that you can buy including K-Cups everythingis reasonably priced it's a good portion size and the staff is very sweet. A little hidden gem worth checking out. Great spot. A hidden gem. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They made several rounds in the dinning room to ensure that... everything was ok. Very clean and bright. Easy to order. My pork chops were tasty and juicy. The corn bread was good. Theywere busy but I didn't have to wait long for my food. I will agree with some of the other reviewers that the inside dinningroom can get loud but not distracting. Seating is available both inside and outside. The outside area has covered tables andyard games with an awesome view. I had planned to get some ice cream at Sugar Beans located next to the restaurant, but I gotdistracted by the view and went for a short walk around the lake instead. As a life long Galvestonian, I can remember a timewhen this whole area was nothing more than a cow pasture. This place is definitely worth a stop. Read more
Found this absolute gem recently. First- the place is very clean, well laid out, nicely lit and a great selection of easy-going... music (beach boys, George Harrison, various 60's on up)at just the right volume, really make the atmosphere very pleasant,comfortable and inviting. Customer service was top notch when my wife and I stopped in. Second-the food was spectacular. Theyserve breakfast all day, so I had biscuits &gravy and it was great. My wife, who rarely cusses referred to her fish tacos as"F*#king Great", so that alone speaks volumes. Very nice menu with enough selections for just about anyone. They have a niceselection of beers and wine. Definitely check this place out, you will not be disappointed. This counter service restaurant is astones throw from the Moody Gardens golf course and next to The Suger Bean. Read more
Charming counter-service option for brunch and lunch. Lots of options and a casual, clean, laidback atmosphere. We loved the... fish tacos and kids loved the pancakes. There is a small outdoor area for kids to play with lovely boutique shops to browse.Great for families. Love Lil? Buffalo Grille and will absolutely be back.
