Mario?s has gone down hill. It use to be our favorite pizza place. Now I would not go back. We ordered two pizzas and one pasta... dish over phone for take out. We were told the food would be ready in an hour, which was fine for a Friday night. We got thereright at an hour. The lobby was full of customers waiting on their orders. It took an additional 40 minutes before we got ourfood. The pizza was cold and the pasta was ok but not great. Customer service was seriously lacking. Kitchen staff could beseen but were not motivated to get food out. The front staff member was overwhelmed with answering the phone, taking new ordersand handing out completed orders. She also was not very friendly. I recommend avoiding the hassle and going to anotherrestaurant on the island. Read more

Very disappointed in Mario's. This has been our pizza spot for our yearly trips to Galveston. I will never buy from them again.... They typically have a longer wait which is usually fine because over the years its been pretty good. We ordered at 7:18, did notreceive our food until 9:50 on a Tuesday. That is ridiculous. It was not even close to warm and the pizza quality completelyunacceptable. Ended up feeding my kids a peanut butter sandwich and threw half of it away. Read more

We ordered and our receipt said pick up in approximately 60 min. Wait time is to be expected due to holiday weekend. We came in... to pick up after the hour wait and the lady working the register was rude immediately. She said "no, your food isn't ready. It'sgoing to be at least another 20 minutes." That's it. No apology. No explanation. There were at least 10 other customers waitingfor their food, it wasn't just us. We waited 30 minutes for our 2 pizzas and garlic bread. Had the service had an ounce ofcustomer service attitude, we'd consider returning. But no, not returning ever. Read more

This is easily some of the best pizza I've had. We have an Italian owned fanily pizza joint that we frequent at home that i used... to consider my favorite pizza until i gave these guy's a try. They truly blew my mind, the pizza is cheesy and greasy (in thebest way possible) and the crust is so soft yet crisp from point to crust it's almost unbelievable ???? also, the pepperoni areso crisp they melt in your mouth. This pizza was so good we grabbed it twice on our weekend visit. Read more

I do not recommend this place at all. The pizza was very oily. That's unhealthy to put that much oil on a pizza. It tasted... strange. The delivery driver was very rude and angry. He banged on my door like he was the police. I didn't even have an extraminute to get to the door before he banged even harder. I was expecting 45 minutes to arrive. He was early by 25 minutes so Iwasn't yet expecting him, then he took my receipts not giving me enough time to sign or give him a cash tip. He was so rude hedidn't say goodbye he just grabbed the receipts then left dropping his pizza bag. A part of me didn't want to tell him, but I'mjust not that type of person. I ordered delivery because I wasn't feeling well to go out too exhausted, and now I'm worried he'sgoing to force my signature and give himself a tip. I hope that's not the case. If you're a manager reading this please makesure the heavy built Caucasia man in maybe his 40s didn't want me to sign. He was so aggressive and angry, I just gave him thereceipts, scared he was going to physically harm me. He kept saying, "I need the receipt now. Give me the receipt. I need thereceipt." He said it repeatedly while I was holding the pizza and I was going to get the cash to for him, but the levelaggression I decided to just give it to him. He's not meant to work customer service. We tried a few pizza places while on vacation, this was our favorite. Nice soft and thin crust, good spicy pepperonis and sauce,... all around good pizza. Read more

If you live or vacation on Galveston's West End this is a solid choice for pizza. Their website makes ordering very easy, plus... the pizza is ready when promised. I asked for extra crispy and it was perfect. I would have went 5 stars but the pizza is alittle to doughy for my taste.. A solid choice for pizza on the Island. Read more

I am waffling between 3 and 4 stars. Pizza was good, but I have a warning for those with picky kids. Why on earth they can't... just have regular crumbled sausage like my child expects, idk, but be warned their sausage is sliced (I thought it was deliciousbut my daughter demanded it be removed ). Second point is that the Greek salad we ordered LOOKED amazing, until I spotted a livefly that was thoroughly coated with oil and entombed within the salad, so I'll concede I lost my appetite for the salad before Iever consumed any of the $8 worth of salad I gave to Mario's. All in all, it's a great (practically the only) choice for pizzaon this side of the island. Read more
