We paddled to West End Marina and ate at the Downstairs Sandbar! It was absolutely delicious. We LOVED everything that was... ordered. The Ceviche was our favorite, definitely try it. We were in town for a fishing trip on a Tuesday, had a large group and they were able to serve us. Service was fast and quality.... We had many appetizers, pickles/civeche/chips&salsa all good. We had a nice dinner with the at the West End Martina in early May of 2022. As the downstairs eating area was closed (make sure... to check their timetable) we were up on a balcony on the second floor enjoying the ambiance of marina life with some lightcountry tunes from the bar. The waiter was real pleasant and easy to chat with. Beer selection is great - make sure to try TikiWheat - a great local Galveston beer. As for food - I did not have high expectations and was not surprised that the food was notanything to write home about (I had a burger). But as I said, the ambiance here matters and we definitely had a fun night here. Read more

Packed for Spring Break. GREAT VIBE. Tuna poke, fish tacos and, and the Tito's Bloody Mary were mixed to perfection. A little... burn on the lips and a crisp finish, Delicious! We had a nice lunch by the boat lifts. It was a beautiful day and the drinks were on point. I find the burger was too well done... for my tastes, the bun was gigantic, and the fries were limp. However, everything was tasty. The service was "relaxed", cordialbut slow. Read more
