The place has a patio which is beautiful for breakfast/brunch. I went on a summer morning and the place was calm and quiet.... Coffee is good and the portions are big. Read more

This place has absolutely the best locally sourced and prepared food in the area!!!! The chef Mr. Douglas is top notch and one... of the best chefs I have seen and his menu is to die for. I can?t wait to come back and try the KI Burger (Big Mac). The crabcakes and coconut shrimp are my favorites so far. Look this place up if your from out of town or a local as I am. You definitelywill not be disappointed. Read more

Went with four couples and sat outside on the patio. We all had the prix fixe paired with wines and each course was outstanding.... It was easily the best dining experience I?ve had in Knox County since I moved here in 2012. They servers, chef, and managerprovided great service and accommodated some special needs for the table with an extra touch. Highly recommend! Read more

My girlfriend and I purchased a Special Gift Certificate for a one night stay and dinner or lunch for two through a Ronald... McDonald House silent auction and were looking forward to a weekend getaway at the Kenyon Inn. We purchased the certificate onlya few months ago and it expires on August 1st, so we tried to book our night towards the end of July but were told that theyhave filled the rooms with students for the rest of the summer. No big deal, we were willing to wait and book out when theyeventually do have vacancy. Unfortunately, we spoke with the manager of the Kenyon Inn and were told that they will not bookour night or honor our certificate outside of the free meal, and that we should have booked sooner when they might have had somevacancy. After some pushing with them they said they would give us an extra meal at their restaurant, but that kind of defeatsthe purpose of why we bid on the certificate in the first place (and really isn?t equivalent to what the certificate entitled usto, anyway). We live over an hour away and would rather not drive there on two separate occasions just to have dinner. All inall we were very disappointed in our interaction with the Kenyon Inn and the manager. The manager was very rude with us aboutthe situation, who raised his voice with us while telling us that he was not going to honor the certificate that their businesshad donated to the charity. At the end of the day, I don?t regret giving my money to the Ronald McDonald House (an awesomecharity) but wish that this situation would have been handled differently. It?s not on us that the Kenyon Inn was booked out tostudents for the entire summer, and there is an obvious solution to extend the certificate out when it would be possible for usto book a night. We love exploring and supporting small businesses but we think it is important to support small businesseswhich have integrity and call out the businesses that are willing to grift their potential patrons out o Read more

The World's Best Tomato Bisque Remember the scene in 'Elf' when Buddy finds the greasy spoon diner with the sign. "The World's... Best Coffee?" That was a joke, but this is real. My sister in law said that the tomato bisque was very good -- and it was allthat and more! Rich, thick, with great flavor. Oh yes, the other food was fine, too, and the super service was as good as thefood. Come to the Kenyon Inn for classy fine dining -- but be sure to start with the tomato bisque. Get the bowl, not the cup. Maybe order one for an opener and another for the main course? I would consider it! Read more
