Delicious food. We didn?t have a reservation and we luckily were able to get a table. Food is very flavourful. We had the daily... soup (red pepper and tomato) along with the cheese balls and scallops. Also had a full meal of the cod. Lots of food for two.Took home a dessert for later - lemon mousse which was very good and served with a shortbread cookie. Everything tastes homemadeand is served on eclectic plates. Service is very good and friendly Read more

The food here, without question, is the highest quality I've had anywhere on the island. It's a very small restaurant, with a... fairly small menu, but you can guarantee everything on that menu is exquisite and prepared perfectly. The only drawback is theprice, really, but I guess it's not cheap to make quality food. Read more

This place was a joy from start to finish. The tea based cocktails are absolutely incredible. We are vegan and there were no... vegan entrees on the dinner menu but they whipped us up an absolutely delicious vegan pasta with lots of veggies and red sauce. We also had the soup and had to avoid licking the bowl clean. I don't know how they got so much flavor into a red pepper soupand made a vegan soup so rich, but it was to die for. The items for sale are fun as well and of course the teas are for sale. The atmosphere is sophisticated but unpretentious. Our server was amazing- she was single handedly tending bar and serving thewhole restaurant, but was very attentive and kind. Read more

Nice stop in Gander for a cozy fresh meal. The carrot and curry soup was way too salty, but otherwise we enjoyed our meal. Fresh... pasta, hot buns out of the oven (on request) and quality ingredients all around. Read more

Great helpful staff. Good chowder.... but if you're expecting a think broth, this isn't it. They don't use flour in theirs. Cod... cakes were a bit bland. We blasphemied the lemon curd cheesecake before taking a photo. It was delicious. Read more

Absolutely amazing food and atmosphere! Felt very welcome and warm the whole time with such a nice server, the steak sandwich... was innovative and had great flavor if you like goat cheese and something a little different. The cheese balls were flavorfulwith a great tomato sauce and balance with cheese and risotto, the butternut squash soup was beautifully light and tasty andwent so well with the bread with it. The chili was not crazy but it was a nice warm meal that satisfyed my girlfriend so it musthave been pretty good. Lastly, the partridge berry flake made with crispy phyllo dough, whipped cream and an intensely tart butsweet partridge berry sauce was one of the best desserts I?ve ever had! It was so crispy and went together so well with thelightly sweet cream and sauce and the plating was very clean and well put together. Overall the Newfoundland tea Co. is one ofthe best restaurants in central with amazing food, atmosphere, and a friendly staff, the prices can get a bit high but it?sworth the cash for this experience. Plus the tea is really good:), 10/10 would go again. Read more
