I guess poor customer service is an ongoing thing at this place. I've been a customer at Lomelis since 2010 and recently decided... I will no longer be eating at this establishment. I ordered an online meal Combo 1 and Turkey sandwich which was already paidfor. I asked my Dad to pick up for me. He was given the wrong order(a pizza) and charged for it. I called the restaurant andsomeone hung up on me the first time. So, I called again and spoke with the Manager Russell. Russell admitted he made a mistakewith the orders and misheard the name Angie and confused it for Amy. Russell asked if my Dad can drive back 40min and get ouroriginal order. I said no my dad just drove 40min to and from. He said well since you can't drive down here. We are not going toloose money and you have to see things from our point of view. I was shocked by his response and asked to speak to someoneelse. He then offered a $12 dollar credit to the restaurant when we paid a total of $60 dollars for one large pizza we didn'torder and there mistake!!! Just to be fair. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad and I come here every once in awhile. I think it's more out of habit and convenience though.... The food is ok but not great. Couldn't remember if we'd been there, but my sister used to live in Gardena and lived this place. Really great prices, and... decent food. Lomeli?s was one of our comfort food locations prior to the pandemic. Hidden behind a wooden door, it transports you to a... magical place with the decoration, music, and wonderful service. Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - house soup starts as one dimensionaland missing some acidity or herbs. However, the saltine crackers provided adds just the right amount of salt and texture. Themargherita pizza is absolutely amazing! The crust is soft on the inside and crispy on the outside with the melty cheesestretching as you pull/bite it. They give sooooo much tomatoes and basil! The shrimp & scallop creamy Italian noodles is sobuttery with just a bit of saltiness from the toppings. We got the complete dinner and the garlic bread that comes with it isjust garlicky goodness and great to soak up the buttery garlic sauce left from the noodles. Ambience: 5/5 - festiveenvironment with sounds of people chattering. Music is just the right volume in the background. The waitress lit the candle infront of us. Very cozy inside, but the LED lamps are bit too harsh. Good looking leather seats juxtapose wooden beams withhanging flower baskets! Service: 5/5 - service is great!
