I came to this joint during my recent visit to LA; It was an online order for pickup. Upon arrival there was a short line... outside waiting for seating but they were promptly seated before I entered the building. This place was bustling. Busy busy andevery seat taken. I'm kind of disappointed I didn't order for dine in, oh well. Despite the crowd my order was ready on time. Iordered the spider roll, lexus roll, and an order of ikura. Everything was immaculate and delicious. The rice of the sushi wasespecially notable but let's not discredit the freshness of the fish and the excellent texture of the soft shell crab. A solidspot in my opinion and a second visit will have to be had to try out some other options. Read more

Ordered there today. Very unhappy with amount of ingredients. On the menu they promise all eel and soft shell crab, in reality... (see the picture) sushi?s filled with cheap imitation crab. Instead of the slice of eel I had skin and a bit of meat on it. I?mnot gonna come back. Btw beef teriyaki is dry, wouldn?t recommend. Read more

My took me hear to eat my first time. My son loves sushi he eats all the stuff they make. I am not into sushi at all. I had... teriyaki chicken dinner soup n salad. Decided tonight we should try something out of the norm and ended up ordering some sushi. Still relatively new to Gardena, we... wanted to support local business and hit up Sushi Sumo. We were amazed by the quality of the food considering the cost cospidering all we ordered. Most of places I go the order showcased in the photos would of been closer to $100.
