The seafood platter was delicious. The large shrimp were fried just right. Stuffed crab and french fries go together with real... crabmeat! The fish was interesting though, it was fresh tasting and paper thin. It was like eating a real delicious thin pieceof fish flavored paper. Hush puppies were small, hard, and greasy. Parking at this restaurant is the biggest issue. The restaurant itself is clean and the bathrooms were spotless. We ordered the... kids popcorn shrimp which had little to no spices cooked with it, our crawfish po boy which came with a little bit more flavorand the french fries were delicious. Read more

My Dad and I stopped in for lunch a couple of days ago and I must say it was the best fried seafood I have ever had. My Dad... felt the same way. We both had the shrimp and catfish baskets and they were cook perfectly. They were seasoned well andeverything was hot. We literally ate half our meal without speaking to each other. Great Job! I love the shrimp basket, however, this location did not meet my expectations that the other locations have set for this... restaurant. The service was slow, not very welcoming. The food was not served hot. My lunch-buddy had the all you can eat fishand didn?t get his reorder until about 20 minutes after he was finished with his first order. Overall it was just a poor, anddisappointing lunch experience. Way overpriced for the food and service we received. I do hope they are able to get it headed inthe right direction because I have been a loyal shrimp basket fan for a very long time. But honestly, I cannot go back to thatlocation. Read more

Last Wednesday on 2/2/2022 we ordered 2 combo platters of shrimp and fish and both with cheese grits each, also a kids shrimp... plate, they were really busy so it took longer than expected, not a problem. Staff was polite and this was reasonable. Whatwasn't reasonable was getting home and opening the boxes to that small amount of food and shorted one cheese grits. Bycomparison the kids plate had more food than these 2 combined. I immediately call, rang off the hook and nobody answered, triedagain until I finally give up and leave a detailed message and now a week has passed and no return call. The only good thing Ican say is that the food was good, there just wasn't enough to even feed my mother who eats like a bird, cheese grits were alsogreat, just one order short. Instead of driving back to gardendale to take the food back, I decided to call then just cut mylosses and eat. Con's are the obvious with the food and no return call, pros are food was good the small amount of it and thestaff is nice.
