This pub was absolutely a fantastic find on our part. The food and service was perfection. We can't wait to stop by again. Amber... was our server and she made our day. Great attitude and she brought us great food and drinks. She is very sharp and wittyoverall a Great person. She made the whole experience fun really enjoyable. We had the fried fish and chips, fish tacos,Calamari and the ribs. All was done to perfection. Flavor was very tasty and fresh. We couldn't ask for a better selection andgreat time. We will be back. Service: 5 ?? Meal: 5 ?? Atmosphere: 5 ?? My family was traveling thru Gardenerville and found this GEM of a restaurant! They... could *easily* be moved into any foodie-city and be top of their game! Chicken Marsala: 5 ?? it was a special and it wasfabulous! One of the best chicken Marsala’s we’ve ever had. The Marsala was bold yet delicate, not overpowering all of theother beautiful flavors. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. The veggies were al denté perfect. All of usenjoyed it immensely! Kale Salad w/ Grilled Ahi Tuna: 5 ?? for someone who doesn’t care for kale that much it was actuallysuperb. And as you can see by the pictures that the Ahi tuna was perfectly cooked medium-rare Burger: 4?? Even though the pattywas cooked absolutely perfectly medium-rare, the bun to meat ratio was way off (too much bread), so we peeled it apart and hadit as an open face Fries: 3?? None of us liked these battered fries bc they kinda tasted like fried fish. Maybe because theyhave fish and chips on the menu and cook it in the same oil? Read more
The Overland Restaurant and Pub is located directly on Hwy 395 in Gardnerville NV. The dining areas are spacious and... comfortable. There is a wrap around bar with plenty of room and a wide selection of beers. We came in as a party of 6 on aSunday evening and were seated directly. The wait staff was courteous friendly and competent. Our appetizers of ShishitoPeppers, Beer Battered Cheese Curds and Piggy Poppers were excellent. My Fish and Chips meal was very good, and the rest of thedishes served looked great. Read more
A wonderful dining experience in an historic 1902 building, eating at The Overland is like taking a step back in time! Our... server was particularly excellent tonight. Not only did Rodney provide great service, but he also made my drink, a Stone FruitSparkler. It is not sweet but had very subtle flavors of fruit and fresh rosemary, I loved it!
