This is the place to come for a budget friendly happy hour! It doesn’t matter if you’re sitting at the bar or out on the... patio. You’ll get fantastic service anywhere. $5 and $6 apps are all so tasty! I’ve tried all the apps but the mini burgersbecause I don’t typically order burgers when I go out to eat. Just make sure to try the dumplings and the to die forcauliflower bites. And the drinks are around $5 -$6 too during happy hour. Last time I went I had a $3 Long Island iced tea thatwas so good. 8/10/22: We came for a few drinks and sat at the bar. Cody was bartending and he was great. We asked about Gabby, and were... surprised when Cody said "that's my wife". He brought her over and we were happy to catch up with her, and we congratulated themon their marriage. I had a few cold drafts beers and she had a Pink Elephant and a Grapefruit Jalapeño Margarita. We alsoshared an order of nachos, which was loaded with chicken. Cody made us feel very comfortable and we enjoyed hanging out at thebar. 10/28/20: This was our first Happy Hour since March 2020, due to COVID. Brittney was at the other end of the restaurantwhen we arrived, she saw us, and came to greet us. She was very friendly and took us to a great table on the patio. The tableswere well spaced apart, which made us feel very comfortable. Our server was Gabby, and she was great. She provided good foodrecommendations and was very knowledgeable of the menu. She catered to us, and made us feel welcome. Brittney appeared to bedoing double duty, as I saw her tending to tables, as well as being a hostess. The food and drinks were great. I wanted to try a place I never had so I saw Houlihans and went in. I was definitely an upscale joint with dark wood bar,... tables and chairs but also sports on the many monitors all around so I felt comfortable right away. Paulina greeted and seatedme and took my drink order. She was back shortly with my drink and asked if I had ever been there before and asked if I hadquestions or if I was ready to order. I ordered the fish tacos with dumplings as an app. The dumplings were great but the dipwas delicious. I'm not sure what's in it but it's fantastic. I saved some for my fish tacos and it put them over the top too. It's fairly expensive I paid $30+ for a soda, an app and tacos but you have to pamper yourself every now and then. Jordan the front house manager went above and beyond allowing us to eat outside. He had 2 servers call off for today, meaning... he was extremely short staffed and had closed the patio. My husband had called ahead of time and explained our situation, Joshhas Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and other underlying health conditions, so eating inside is NOT an option right now. They hadasked the manager and said it was no problem. When we got there Jordan came out and explained what was going on, and decidedright then and there he was going to take care of us, even being short staffed. He felt bad because it wasn't as fast ofservice as he would have liked, but for my husband and I it was perfect. We even asked if the chef could chop up my husband'sfish so he could eat it a little better, and he said he would see what he could do. The food was PERFECT. The fish was cut upso finely my husband could eat it and I cleaned my plate, which I never do. Just as I was running low on soda, Jordan brings mea refill, and to say it was a refill is putting it lightly. I didn't even ask for it. He just showed up with it and got me anew to go one for me. Always great for drinks and fresh eats! We usually choose the stuffed fried mushrooms and thai wings as our appetizers.

I love Houlihan's! Every single time I've been has been a great experience! I took my friend out to lunch for her birthday and... she lives right down the street from the Firewheel location in Garland. As always, the restaurant is stylishly decked out. Ilove the lantern vignette on the ceiling! They have cool decor and a really lovely ambience. Our server was very friendly, hadgreat recommendations and was very attentive. The lunch menu is awesome. We started with lettuce wraps which are some of myfavorites. They are served with lettuce leaves, wonton strips, yummy chicken and a tangy and tasty sauce. I loved the drinksthat they had on special, my friend got one of the tiki cocktails and it was really delicious not to mention adorable in thelittle tiki cup. My niece got a blueberry mojito which is really delicious as well. We all had a really hard time deciding whatto get because there were so many options to choose from on the menu! ???? For lunch I got the salmon with mashed potatoes andgreen beans served with a dill sauce. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was so flavorful! I was so happy with my meal. So.GOOD! My friend had the baked potato soup and ahi tuna salad and my niece had soup and a caesar salad. Everything wasdelicious! We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and probably over ate because it was so dang delicious. They have an amazing Veggie burger (cal 520). For $13 you can't beat it. I had the sweet potato fries with the creamy... horseradish (cal 565). The portion size was perfect. The beer was ice cold. Yummy. I highly recommend it. Next time I'll skipthe dip for the fries to save calories. Read more
