Upon entering you get a family oriented atmosphere which is great for bar b que foods. It was enjoyable, quite, and filled with... chuckles or small laughter. The menu is pretty easy to read and comprehend and they also have a great selection of sides,sandwiches and or plates as well as catering. I ordered the brisket sandwich on texas toast with a sausage link added to it. Iexplained it was my first time at this fine establishment and I was eagerly helped. I asked for a marbled/moist brisket withjalapeño and cheese sausage. The food was good and tasty. I did receive what I asked for but I feel as if the brisket was overheated just a bit. I didn't quite get that marbled texture of brisket where it's a bit stretchy and glistening, instead Ireceived a almost dry but kinda moist brisket. I don't want to say roast beef because it was not quite there at the level butlooking at the brisket you can tell it was headed there. The sausage was delicious but it was obvious it was under the heat lampa little bit too long. The outside of the sausage was dry but the internal sausage was good. I still ate all of it because thefood was still delicious. . I also got Mac n cheese which was great! I also hot the okra! Now the okra was fried perfectly andeven before finishing my meal they stayed perfectly fried. Not like other places where they get rock hard or soggy and wet. Thisestablishment had a complimentary bar which included pickled jalapeños, raw onion, pickles and other items. I received about6ozs of barb que sauce in a small cup which was more then plenty which is a plus! I was able to dunk my sandwich in it and enjoyevery bite with N adequate amount of sauce.. over all I would give this place a 6.5-7 out of 10. It has great potential. I willbe returning!! This place is ok. The meat was not that smoked. They had decent Que. What I didn't like is the sign that says special. Let me... explain which one and why the low rating. The signs says pick Any meat for your sandwich with 1 side and a drink! So I asked fora rib sandwich for my special. The guys says ribs does not come with the special?? The signs says any meat. You should changeyour sign to say any meat but rib. I will follow up and see if they have the same sign up. I will also try a link or brisketsandwich. Read more
Good BBQ is subjective. Was this place the best I've ever had? No, but for it to be in the area was not a bad selection. The... food quality was great, the meat was cooked decent, and the beans and potato salad was nice. Only thing it lacked was flavor,other than that it was a great meal. Read more

We have been going to Rick's BBQ for over 15 years. It's better quality and taste than. SOULMANS, BAKERS OR DICKIES. ... Wednesday's is BBQ Chicken night my wife's favourite I always get what I call the Big Tex Sandwich. Beef, Sausage and ham withcheese, fries and slaw. Get there before 6pm otherwise they are closed. What was once fairly good has dropped to mediocre. Almost no smoke ring on the brisket, had to look really close to find a... little bit of one. As others have mentioned the meat was very dry, even dousing it in barbecue sauce did not help. The meatseemed like it had been out for several days and dried out. The green beans also seemed like they've been on the steam table forseveral days, we're mushy and had lost most of their color. The serving sizes are large, the prices modest, but these cannotoffset the poor quality that they are serving today. Absolutely one of the most delicious brisket sandwiches I have had in a long time, this place is a complete hidden Gem, customer... service was great and fast granted it was before rush hour, the restaurant was clean, location not bad especially if you're alocal, the food was served hot and very delicious, the prices I feel like for the quantity that you're getting was pretty good$5 for a brisket sandwich full of meat. $1 for a canned beverage $2 for a fountain drink, I will definitely be coming back verysoon my goodness the brisket was good.
