My husband was very excited to try this restaurant. We were both starved after work so he picked it up. The chicken breast... was burnt up..not a drop of juice in the chicken..fried chicken jerky..could not eat it. The glistening in the pic is from thegrease. The wing was ok. The slaw tasted like it came straight from a tub you pick up at Food Lion. My husband said his okrawas good but didn't care for the catfish. Don't waste your $$! Read more
Best chicken gizzard I've had in a long time. The caramel pecan cake was just wow!HOME MADE CAKE!!! The staff is very friendly... and prices are reasonable. Well worth the wait to get your food. Only regret is not coming here sooner. Read more
I have been waiting to try this place for a long time. I had a order made for Mother?s Day for 12 pm pick up. My order wasn?t... done until 12:45 (I didn?t really care too much about this, knowing the food was going to be good). I got a days old pan offried chicken. I don?t ever make reviews but when told that ?I just hired a new cook and it?s a Hit or Miss sometimes whereveryou go?. This was the statement made from the owner. I brought the pan of chicken back and only got 6 pieces replaced. No onehad sympathy or a care in the world. I am very disappointed in the ?Black Owned Business?. I was not rude I didn?t raise myvoice and was very mellow toned. I just hope that they can use this as a wake up call to do better. Read more

Worst meal ever ????. Seriously. Look at the pics and you can tell it was terrible. I should have known better. Two separate... people both told me the food was bad so it was technically my fault for even trying it. Hopefully this place closes like theother ones before it in that same location. Southern food at its best. I had the fried ribs snack which I added some bbq sauce to and they were great. The sweet tea is... perfect and everything else I saw looked good as well. I... never knew it existed, until I came out of Regal Theater after seeing The Woman King...Wow did hunger set in. That's when weeyed their place...first time visit, we're going back! Got friends already, chomping at the bits to taste. We didn't get anydessert, but I missed a treat...be sure to check out the snap shot of their menu. Real down home cooking fellow viewers. Talked to the owner who said they pushed through COVID with the Community Support. They are even hiring, so go by and tellthem Harold Sent you!
