Pretty disappointed with my experience at Grill Creations. I had high hopes because of the many good reviews. The service was... not horrible, but also not good. Our server wasn?t very friendly and did not make much of an effort to check on us. The chickenin my flautas was SO tough and flavorless, and the refried beans were watery and way too salty. I was with 2 other adults whoordered the chimichanga. Our server assured us they were deep fried upon asking him, but when we got them, they were completelysoggy soft tortillas soaked in red sauce and filled with little to no meat, just plain rice and black beans. The tortilla was sodoughy and tasted like it was barely cooked. We ordered french fries for the children we were with, and I?m almost positive theywere McCain?s 2 minute fries. It was not busy at all, and there was no excuse for our food coming out the way it did for howexpensive this place was. I would not recommend eating at this restaurant. Read more
Absolute favorite Mexican food in the Cranford area. Their burritos aren't "mixed", so every bite is a different flavor. Plenty... of vegetarian options, but I recommend the burrito. I also hear the crunchy tacos are very good. Read more
The only reason this isn?t 1 star is that the salsa was good. I didn?t think it was possible to stuff this much plain bland... white rice into a tortilla. Read more
The most fantastic healthy Mexican restaurant ever! Wonderful staff that treat you like family. I had a birthday party there and... it was the best ever. B y o b you won't be sorry. Nothing is ever Frozen and you can get baked chimichangas to die for. Don'tmiss out! Read more
I just visited Grill Creations for lunch and let me tell you the service and food was wonderful. I chose to Dine in and my... waiter was very attentive and courteous, he helped me with ordering and suggested a few different drinks that I turned out tolike . We were out and about, googled close place to eat and this place came up. Mexican food, tasty, a bit on the higher price. ... Good guacamole with chips as appetizer. My kids had a kid platter with steak, beans and rice. I had huevos rancheros, yummy!My oldest son and husband had tacos. We were all pleased. Great staff, professional, courteous and very attentive. Came here because we were looking for a new local Mexican restaurant and this place had decent reviews so we decided to check it... out. Unfortunately we probably never be back and here's why. When we walked in on a Friday the place was halfway filled but wewere promptly seated and given our chips and salsa which was good. I went with my kids and they ordered the kids "meal" and Iordered my usual fish tacos. Food wasnt bad, but wasn't great either. I'd give it 5 out of 10. The seasoning on my tacos werebland and ironically there was more seasoning on my daughter's tacos then mine which is not what you would normally like to seeon a kids dish. Needless to say, she thought it was too "spicy" and wouldn't eat it. We finished our meals and asked for thecheck. Now nothing bothers me more than being nickel and dimed for every little thing and that is exactly what they do at thisestablishment. You want sour cream on your tacos? +$1.50, gauc? $1.50 (understandable), cheese on tacos? +$1.50 really? Howabout milk for your kids meal?(no drink included) +$2.50. Ok fine I'll deal with it. But the real nail in the coffin for me waswhen I got the bill for $33 and when I gave them the my card there was $2 more adjustment to my bill. When I asked the serverabout it she said it was the credit card fee..huh?? She said the sign was on the door. It was, on 3x5 index card. Thx but nothx.
