My food was over 60 dollars. I got an extra large rib tip, large Mac and cheese, jerk tacos, chicken tenders, and banana... pudding. I waited an hour for my food and he apologized and gave me pound cake. I got home and there was grit in my jerk tacos(almost chipped my tooth) and a fly in my Mac n cheese. Food was freshly made and hot. Mixed sauce Ribtips never disappoint! You get what you pay for! Peach cobbler could be better,... but that's my opinion. Overall the place is well kept. Not always Squeaky-Clean, but clean enough. Read more
Updated 6/18/22: Called order in, arrived after the 20 minute timeframe and waited an additional 10 minutes. There were 4... workers behind the counter on the serving side and 6 customers in the lobby. I ordered Turkey Tips and a jerk taco. I like thesauce on the side so I could taste the authenticity of the meat. This is the first time I've gotten the sauce sealed as shown inthe pictures.However, this isn't my first time, just a different experience each time. Nothing about this was good the chicken was SUPER bland, so was the dressing it was actually dry, and the greens had no flavor... either. But the corn bread muffin was good and the Mac and cheese was good but dry also. I don?t if it?s because I came an hourbefore the closed but this was the worse I?ve ever had from here. Where do I start?? My experience here was amazing. I haven't had a home cooked meal in a while and their cabbage definitely hit... the spot. From the entrance the customer service was amazing was on point! The wait for the food was worth it. I had the turkeytips, Mac and cheese with red beans and rice. The price and amount of food is hard to find these days. Last but not least, thedessert. The lemon pound cake has an amazing flavor and the banana pudding created with cream cheese was unique to the tastesbuds. I will definitely be visiting again when I get back in town. Read more
I had high hopes for this place that use to be so delicious well i was so disappointed. I gave the review 2 stars because the... jerk chicken tacos were delicious however the turkey tips were horrible the sweet potatoes were hard because they were not doneand unsure of what the mac and cheese tasted like. So i called and they agreed to replace the sweet potatoes and Mac and cheesethe next day with the jerk tacos and a free peach cobbler. Well the peach cobbler had a good taste but couldn't get past theundercooked crust well technically that wasn't crust it was a uncook dough. So sad to say i wont be back.. Read more
I love eating here. The food is ALWAYS fresh, and so good. I just wish that Big Daddy would open a location in Chicago. It's a... bit of a drive, but I make a trip out here a couple times per month. There aren't many restaurants that offer turkey options. Wehave Just Turkey in Chicago, but they're not consistent with taste. Come on to Chicago Big Daddy! I'll be first in line! Read more
