If you want Japanese and your normal spot is closed then this place will do in a pinch but the portion size for the money leaves... a lot to be desired. My wife got a teriyaki chicken and it was about half of the size of a normal Lucky Samurai plate. LuckilyI ordered a chicken & steak combination plate so there was more in my box by default but It was still lacking on the amount ofrice I've come accustomed to see in a normal Japanese To-go box. At least the food tasted good or it could have been a completewaste. Will definitely explore other options in the area before settling for a $11 half plate again. I will note that the drivethrough was the fastest I've been through in a while for this type of food. Read more

Food was amazing, even though they got my order wrong. Service was a little slow but the staff was very kind. They are short... staffed just like everyone else it seems! But the food and friendly people make up for it! Read more

This place used to be so good but the service has become terrible in last year, long food wait times and constantly messing up... orders and cold soup. For the prices not worth it anymore. Maybe service be better if employees stayed off their phones. Read more

Sake Express has always been a hometown favorite of mine. Although they only have one drive thru lane, service has always been... courteous and efficient, the food has always been made to order, hot, and fresh, and my children love their Teppanyaki noodles. They've always kept a clean dine in environment, nice, calming and relaxing decor to be able to thoroughly enjoy yourexquisitely prepared meal. I'd take a wait time over low-vibrational prepared food any day ???????????? Read more

I went in placed my order sat down and waited about 20 min no one came over not even a glass of water. I finally went up after... noticing 2 other tables that walked in were getting salads and drinks. I went up to find out why. I was upset at the way I washandled I did not know the manager/owner was in earshot as I was expressing my dissatisfaction with the service. Themanager/owner only reacted after my request for my monies back which ended up in a yelling match. The manager/owner was sounprofessional it was unreal. The manager/owner there has been one of the worst customer experiences I have encountered inGastonia. The manager/owner stated I was banned from this establishment I would never want me or anyone I know to spend money inan establishment that would react to a paying cx with such unprofessionalism. This place gets no stars. Read more

This has got to be the best hibachi place I?ve eaten at. Despite the prices being low, they give very big portions and the taste... is outstanding! When you hear hibachi ?express?, you?re probably thinking some cheap nasty food, but no. I was very surprisedwhen I first ate her. Now, this is the only hibachi place I order food from. Recommendations: salmon, scallops, grouper, andchicken. You won?t be disappointed. Read more

I absolutely love this place! They?re quick, affordable, and the food tastes awesome! They also have a variety of food choices... that a lot of other hibachi places don?t offer. I particularly like the salmon and the flounder. This place is great when youneed foods to fill your diet. When I?m in need of protein, I just order a side of chicken or salmon and they give pretty bigportions for the price. Definitely recommend this place! Read more

Everything was over cooked. Unfortunately we door dashed?Even at home if I had overcooked food to this level, I would have just... tossed it. You can see in pictures the burnt hibachi noodles. steak and shrimp noodles?all over cooked. I?m giving one starbecause the sushi was actually good. Now I STILL need to figure out something for dinner. Read more
