This is a very popular family restaurant featuring basic comfort food, Tex-Mex, steaks, a good variety of sides and a salad bar.... Very friendly atmosphere, good service and the portions are fairly generous. To my mind, it is a little pricey, but I am oldand remember too much. By modern standards, Ranchers would be considered in line with moderate pricing. Gatesville has theusual assortment of franchises as well as a few good local restaurants. Ranchers may not be where you'd take a hot date (noidea what Gatesville has to offer in that line), but it is a good, friendly, casual place to eat up, catch up and save room fordessert. Read more

Classic small town restaurant. They have a wide variety on the menu - sandwiches, Mexican dishes, fried or grilled fish,... chicken fried steak - They also have a large salad bar.
