Selena was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing. She also helped me make a substitution with my meal and was super... patient. My son and I got a sampler platter with fried pickles, fried mushrooms and fried green beans. It was crispy andperfect! The ranch was delicious too. I ordered a steak and my son got chicken fingers. It's a charming restaurant with memorabilia and mementos on the walls and local advertisements in the tabletop. I think that... the items are entirely overpriced, though. You pay pub prices for hamburgers, but the French fries cost several dollars extra. You won't know that unless you ask specifically. I paid dinner out price for a Saturday afternoon meal, so lunch tomorrow willbe less costly. The young server was responsive, so you will not want for attention. Read more
So this hidden gem. Man! My family and I were traveling from Dallas to Brenham and we were in a bind to stretch our legs and... have a good meal. This was More than we expected. Big variety on the menu, great pies, super friendly staff, not your typicalsmall town fried everything food. Fun environment and quality food. A must try and try again. Read more
Awesome down home cookin and a huge menu. I had thier chili and found it a little bitter for my taste, but others at the table... liked it. I also had their club sandwich, which was fantastic. This was my first visit to The Feed Mill and it won't be my last. Met with a friend for lunch. She tried the BLT - it was... brimming with crispy bacon. She gave her sandwich a thumbs up. Wish I lived closer to this place. Stopped into The Feed Mill for lunch on a Saturday on our way to Abilene from Houston and the... service was extremely fast. The food was excellent. The atmosphere of the building was full of antiques and gives all the propervibes of a little country local spot. I would definitely recommend this place. Read more
