Cute little spot close to portage 5 min from Ottawa. Their food all comes in small shareable dishes. The food was pretty good... but this is more of a wine bar with a huge selection of wines and drinks. That is for sure the highlight of cominghere. Very interesting and quaint place. We had dinner on the back terrace. The ambiance was very nice. We actually had a pre-paid... dinner option from experience Outaouais which included a taste of a few wines, an entree and a main option which was shared withmy wife. The taste for all options were very good and unique. It was a very nice and pleasurable experience. I am sure theyhave a very good chef to prepare the dishes. I will definitely to there again. Incroyable! Magnifique! Two words that would describe this gastronomical experience. Do you like wine? Small plates? Interested... in trying something different? If so, this is a must do! Friends invited me to their favourite place and it didn?tdisappoint. From the flight of wine, to the bison tartare, the roasted quail, vegetable tempura, tuna and tomato tarts - it wasall delicious. The service was impeccable, friendly and attentive! All the new ?standard protocols? are in place and yet, youstill feel like you are transported to some magical culinary place. Enjoy your visit! Really solid experience at Soif! We tried a few dishes but our favourites were the Brussels sprouts, duck, and the hazelnut... dessert. My husband enjoyed his wine pairing and my drink was good as well. The service is fairly quick and friendly and theatmosphere is great. We will come back. Exceptional experience, exceptional service, exceptional food and wine! The restaurant itself is cosy and comfortable and the... staff are super attentive and friendly. The pairings were so good! Each sip was a surprise and the Quebec wines were ourfavourites. We very much enjoyed the chats with the staff about their choices for us. Very much recommended. Read more
