Beautiful setting. Delicious food prepared and served by the sweetest Sisters. Not just a meal, an experience.

Great food but 2 hours and 45 minutes is too long, even for a 3 course meal. The sisters were working hard so maybe staffing... level was the reason. Read more

Decided to try eating here on a whim. It was a great quiet environment. The food was AMAZING. Everyone is very friendly. It... does take a bit to get your food. But everything is farm fresh and organic, so ita worth the wait. They made sure everything was perfect. Will be going back for sure. Read more

Don't come here if you are in a hurry. Service is very slow. Prices are reasonable. Food was well prepared, but needed... seasoning. Read more

Classy background music, an eclectic menu of locally sourced foods, Trappist beers, and service by French Nuns. If you order... coffee, you're given a choice of beans, and it comes in your own French press. Read more

A real gem hidden in the hills of southwest Wisconsin. Your patience will be rewarded with a presentation of classic French... cooking not often found this side of the Atlantic! Plan for at least 2 hours for dinner, allowing for ample conversation orquiet meditation over a glass of wine. Our table of four ordered duck confit, scalloped salmon, sausage, and ribeye; each dishwas well portioned and straight out of an episode of Julia Child. If you have time for dessert, you will be rewarded withdelicate precision that would be at home in a Parisian patisserie. For those short on time, the shop has desserts, wines andcertified organic meats for sale to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. The chapel was also open when we visited, and withthe outdoor shrine and manicured lawns, the Hermitage offered a serene escape to close out our day. Read more

By chance we found this place, and my wife and I were very pleased to have found it. The Shrine was nice, with a wonderful... church. The French Food served in the restaurant was AMAZING! The service is slow because nothing is prepped ahead of time, it'sall made to order. I am sure my salad was no more than 10 minutes old when I got it. The leaves had no bruises, or marks andeverything in it was great. The main dishes were culinary delights. I had the haddock w/ ginger and my wife had the lambchops. Both came with potatoes and carrots in a sauce for the dish. We were full, but still went ahead with the homemade icecream desserts. This is a must visit French Dining experience. Read more

Wow! This was an awesome slow food experience! Organic food raised with love. I can't even properly put into words the amazing... taste of the food. To start, I had a salad that was so fresh and lovely. Honestly, it was so luscious I can't remember the lasttime i felt this way about lettuce haha. I also had the brisket and it was so tender and flavorful. I would eat here everydayif I could. The service is wonderfully slow and kind. It reminded me of being in Europe. The atmosphere is beautiful, simple, and unpretentious. The grounds are peaceful. You can feel the love and intent in everything they do here. I felt fed physicallyand spiritually. It's a special kind of place that may not be for those looking for a quick bite, or cheap, low quality food, but if you care about your food, and want to have time to enjoy good company, in a peaceful beautiful spot, I highly recommendthis gem. They also sell eggs, including quail eggs, macrons, wine, tea, and jam etc. I found the whole experience veryinspiring and nurturing. If this is something you can appreciate, please go and support this wonderful restaurant. Read more
