I hosted a party here for my sister and it was wonderful, Esther is truly a pro! She was warm, professional and went above and... beyond to make our event extremely special. The food was excellent and we got so many compliments on the party. I highlyrecommend Primo! Read more

I hosted a baby shower a few weeks ago at Primo/All Chocolate Kitchen. It was done completely safely in the age of Covid. The... owner, Esther had the dining room set up for extra ra social distancing and we also had the use of an adjacent room for giftopening and games. The whole area was disinfected prior to our event. Now that I have discussed the safety aspect , the eventwas fabulous. Esther has the most wonderful areas for decorating, hosting and other surprises. We had the High Tea and it was asbeautiful as it was delicious. We were never rushed and Esther anticipated every need before and during the event. We had themost delicious and beautifully elegant shower. Read more

One of the best presented I have ever seen. The idea was great but the execution was terrible. Light up menus are awesome.... Atmosphere is a ten. Menu selection is outstanding. I'm okay with the slow pace as I don't like being rushed through meals andat finer dining I prefer this, so that was a home run for me. However an hour after I ordered lamb shanks I was told they wereout. Where they out when I ordered? There was not so many people dinning that this should have happened. So that knocked a twostars off. Very Exclusive (I knew this going into this and reserved weeks in advance) that was cool. Desert - really good. Imean they are a successful chocolate shop so this goes with out saying! I went with the chocolate flight. Awesome. We weresurprised when the bill came that when we asked for Prosecco we were served the $25 dollar a glass. We are not ones to complainabout money but feel taken advantage of there. I'm sure that if these two issues didn't happen this place would have gotten a 5star and revisit from us. But unfortunately they discouraged us with these two not minor mistakes. Read more

Dissapointed. Very slow service, even though only 6 two tops seated at the time we were there. Took 45 minutes to get a drink,... 90 to get the apps. Not a good wine selection at all. Had a mixed drink instead, and our server went behind the bar to mix it.How are you going to have a top restaurant without a bartender? Whatever. Food was alright, but way overhyped for what it was.The whole place spent tons of time talking about the chef, but the pasta I had was unevenly cooked, and hyper sweet with piecesof pear. Not balanced. Finally, the ambiance is niether here nor there. They pretend to be a fine dining establishment, but theambiance screams Willy Wonka. Just does not work. Read more

Experience started out great, had a reservation at 6pm on a Saturday & We were warmly welcomed. Drinks & the Chefs selection of... Cheese & Charcuterie were very nice. In hindsight we wished we stopped there. The entrees were ok, not much taste. At the endof dinner one of us ordered a Irish Coffee & was brought a cup of coffee with a shot of Irish whiskey. He spoke to the waitresswho brought him another cup of coffee with a shot of Irish whiskey & offered to bring him cream & sugar. For $13 you’d thinkthey would know how to make an Irish coffee. Then to top it off as we he was drinking his coffee the owner (?) asked if shecould get the walker for one of our guests. I explained we weren’t finished but she said no, we had to leave. Wha? We’djust spend $192 there & still drinking the fake Irish coffee & we’re told to leave! Wow. There were other tables empty & Iexpected people waiting outside but no, there wasn’t. Needless to say we wouldn’t go back. Read more

This is the one restaurant you must try in Chicago area. The food is great, especially the real Italian homemade gnocchi!... Service was good too and the hostess outside explained us the menu and their “specials”. Having dinner at Primo is asensational experience from wine to lights and music! I would recommend to book the “chef table” for your next dinner! Read more

Not just food, but art. Alain Roby is known as one of the world's great pastry artists, with three Guiness World Records and a... lauded career in his field. He and his wife have now opened a restaurant where the food is not just curated to be exquisite, but presented in an atmosphere that is welcoming, fun and sophisticated all at the same time. From exceptional entrees tooutstanding small plates to perfect wine pairings it's the perfect place to take a date, a friend or someone you'd like toimpress with your good taste. Let them make suggestions on what to order, they won't steer you wrong. Read more
