Newer Mexican restaurant in Geneva as of Summer 2022. Very fresh ingredients and the best margarita sampler I’ve ever had!... They really take pride in their food. I get the big Molcajete everywhere I go (Don tequilas, Los Compadres and even PuebloReale) and this place does it best!! Many other Mexican places seem to have dried out meats and old rice, but this place isFresh and tender meat and soft rice. The 3 margarita sampler is so good!! Highly recommend. Read more
The service was amazing and the staff very pleasant. The inside is very nice and played some great music. The food was served... hot and fresh. The food was overall good, but nothing that you couldn\'t get at any other Mexican restaurant. So for the priceand portions and being one of the only close Mexican restaurants, I\'d go again. Atmosphere, 5 stars! Servers, 5 stars!\nFood..? HORRIBLE. Ever have that cheap canned corned beef hash?\nYeah. I\'m pretty... sure that\'s what they used in place of ground beef. I had a taco salad, pretty straight forward-\nfor 15 bucks I was superdisappointed. It honestly tasted so artificial and gross I couldn\'t eat it.. Where to start. WAY overpriced for the quality and portions you get. With a name like Margarita King I had better expectations.... I ordered a flavored margarita on the rocks. The syrup was so thick in it, it was like a milkshake minus any alcohol. Sent itback and you could tell it was the same one just shaken up. Still, way to sweet to drink and didn\'t taste the slightest bit ofalcohol. Food was very plain and basic, definitely not worth the $20 a plate! I would stick to the other Mexican places aroundtown. Everything was great! As soon as we were seated, chips and salsa were delivered. Drinks were delivered moments after we ordered... them. Food was delivered fast too. Birria Tacos were wonderful! Our waitress, Emma was great and very knowledgeable about themenu! All employees seemed happy, friendly, and helpful. What an asset for Geneva! Read more
Middle of the road Mexican food at a high price. The rice and beans were excellent, but the chips were stale, the kind of stale... that leaves them just soft enough that they bend when you bite them. The margaritas were way overpriced ($13 for rocks glasspour) for what they were, but they came with a crown (just why) so I guess that justified the price? The Barria tacos were verygood and not too salty like many places, but again they were overpriced. I would go back if someone else wanted to try it,otherwise I would just go to Wild Burrito or Luisias. Read more
first time ever writing a bad review for a restaurant .. tried pick up for margarita king for the first time today and was... extremely disappointed , the chips we got were soooo stale we couldn’t eat any , the queso cup for 4-5$ is extremely tiny, 20$chicken fajitas and 20$ 3 barria tacos ( whatever that’s fine ) but for it to be so expensive you would think you would get adecent potion but the portions are soooo tiny , and they also forgot my shredded cheese I paid for on the side for the fajitas .Disappointed and wont be back will stick to wild burrito in Madison . Chips were not stale. Taco Bell makes Tacos with better flavor. Ground beef was very bland in the Enchiladas too.\n\nCheese on... Encinitas was spooned on from a can. Grated cheese is a must needed update with better ground beef flavoring.\n\nDishpresentation was very good.\n\nPlace was very clean. Staff was great.\n\nAgreed the price was about 20% higher than betterplaces. Read more
