We went for a weekend retreat. The rooms were clean and well-kept. The thermostat in the rooms has a bright, blue light that is... extremely distracting at night. It is recommended to cover it up with something when you are going to sleep. The smoke alarmalso blinks with a bright light that can make it difficult to sleep. The beds were on the firmer side, but satisfactory. Thestaff and the service was great. The restaurant and bar are good choices to eat. The rooms were very well sound insulated. The Lodge is a beautiful, very accommodating place to visit, especially since it is nestled in or very near wine country as well... as many covered bridges. The staff was courteous at all times, the food was very good, and the bar was well done. While we werethere for a wedding and the reception and therefore did not use all facilities, we were still very happy with our stay. Read more

We had a fabulous overnight getaway. It was raining, hailing and the wind was blowing furiously outside. We could actually hear... the waves of Lake Erie whipping around from our room. The room was a comfy sanctuary of peace and rest and was a fabulous way toexperience the natural elements. The bed was comfortable and had multiple comfortable pillows to build the perfect sleepingexperience. I am a bit OCD about cleanliness and the room was sparkling clean and smelled perfectly fresh. They had taken careto clean and inspect every detail before releasing the room. Customer service at the front desk was top-notch and the customerservice at the restaurant was also superb. Absolutely beautiful sunsets. Friendly staff. Nice rooms. Outside and inside pools as well as the hot tubs very clean and warm... for our late August arrival. Food delicious. Highly recommend staying at the Lodge. Read more

First time staying in the 2 bedroom cottages and we loved it. Comfortable, clean, great towels, beautiful lake-front views,... friendly and responsive staff. Perfect location for going to covered bridges, wineries and strip. Overall ambiance was justbeautiful. All family members were happy. Could use a cook-top or two burner stove but, at the end of the day, loved the entirebeautiful resort and all the amenities. Read more

Great weekend getaway. Rooms were clean but a little dated, had a nice little patio to sit on, beds were really comfortable. No... microwave in room. Nice indoor/outdoor pool and hot tubs, although to many kids in the hot tubs. Horizons restaurant had reallygood breakfast and lunch, did not eat dinner there. The wine shuttle is a very convenient way to visit the local winerieswithout having to worry about driving, the shuttle drivers are very friendly and accommodating. The Lodge grounds are beautifuland right on the Lake. The main strip is about a 15 min walk. Read more

First trip out after our covid interruption. Absolutely wonderful in all areas. Friendly, clean, comfortable, services was spot... on and delivered with a smile at all times. We stayed in one of the cottages and loved it. The grounds are beautiful, the pool area is so much fun. I think some heat for... the pools though wouldn?t be terrible in early june. Cottage bathroom needs a little TLC. Beds are OK but pillows aren?t thebest. Plenty of room for a family of 5. Horizon restaurant for breakfast isn?t great. It?s a buffet but really lacking theupdate the rest of the resort has. The decor is nice and clean but the buffet is no different than a free hotel breakfast.Omelet bar, pancake/waffles, adult beverages and just better quality food all together would be more worth it.
