As always, Big Thorn was amazing. Their beers are always amazing (today I had the Lavender Vanilla Cream Ale and the Mosaic... IPA). The food just gets better and better, too! Of course, it doesn't hurt that their property is spacious and open, leavinglots of room to stretch your legs and bask in the sunshine. And the staff is astounding, too. So friendly and helpful! Relaxing Sunday afternoon in a peaceful off the grid setting.
Stopped by and grabbed a 750ml to go glass of the anniversary IPA. It's gooood. Such a fun environment. Little local market... booths are an added bonus. Highly recommend. Read more
Big Thorn is a family friendly outdoor brewery. The food is amazing and unique. Everything is constantly updating and changing... to meet the needs of the customers. They have a delicious, organic, and unique style that is ever-changing depending on theseason. Everything is grown on sight or outsourced from local farmers. The owners welcome you like family. Visited Big Thorn Farm on Sunday afternoon. Glad we drove from Champaign to check this Brewery out. The tree bar is great.... Wonderful outdoor setting. The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the beers. The beers we tried were good.The Vienna Lager was excellent. The food we got was also very good. I would definitely recommend this brewery and will be backnext time I'm in the area. Read more
What a cool place. We were in the igloo from 6 pm until 9pm. Heater kept everyone comfortable. Had a great time and can we... talk about the amazing food truck food. Had an vegitarian option as well (which was so good) first time here and very impressed. Our 2 kids got to play in the sand box. Very kid friendly. Didn't have to get a baby sitter they even had peanut butter andjelly or grilled cheese on the kids menu. Served their beer they make. Apple was my favorite. The staff was great and veryfriendly. Only down side is no regular bathroom but they did have outhouses...they were very clean and didn't smell they didhave a place to wash your hands. We will be back with more friends and family.
